The author should have stuck with his Barry Bonds piece and not tried to tackle this case.  B/c unlike the Barry Bonds case, he was very reluctant to list sources for this one and even the one's he did list weren't exactly the most credible of sources...
This is kind of weak OSUFan...   You have the lawyers representing the players saying that things are looking good but what is he suppose to say my clients are screwed?    Again I didn't see anything in there were it said the NCAA cleared any players of wrong doing and it actually said the final call is going to be up to the NCAA..
If that is weak, so is the SI article, right?  That's the point they are both using sources that are not credible whatsoever.  If the author can do it, so can I.  And so can Ohio State. biggrin

And as I've said, it wasn't in an article with the NCAA clearing half of the players, it was reported on 1460 AM...

I know there are some Michigan biases in here, so you guys clearly are hoping that all of this turns out to be true, but there is a lot missing and a lot of info that was thrown out there that will turn out to be false in the future regarding some of the players...

Actually I don't want OSU to get hit hard because I want the game to mean something again because RR kind of ruined it..   I just happen to think that OSU is screwed with what has been said from former Buckeyes football players and even players from other sports at OSU commenting on what they saw..

Speaking of other players saying stuff...there were exactly 3 players that said something.  From basketball Titus who didn't play at all.  From football Ray Small (who always found himself in trouble and is a disgrace to Ohio State as a player and a human being) and Robert Rose, someone that also didn't find too much playing time when he was a "stud" recruit, or so we thought.

Then you have players like AJ Hawk (who would have known far more than the 3 that came out and opened their mouth) and he said he never saw a thing.  Chris Wells said the same thing.  All we have is he said, she said stuff...we don't have actual proof outside of the 5 or 6 players.  Hopefully the NCAA can get to the bottom of it one way or another...

Why would Hawk know more?

Always the same stuff:  players who talk-they have an axe to grind.  Players who say they saw nothing-good guys with no agenda or bias.

Again-I think Ohio State gets hit with something, but I don't think they are going to get hit like USC did (or even Alabama).  I do think they are going to vacate wins.  I don't think there will be a bowl ban (though it might be deserving).

Great line on the radio yesterday- They played Jim Tressel telling his fans (who know he totally didn't do anything wrong) that he guarantees OSU will beat Michigan this year. To which Jamie Samuelson added, "And if they don't, free tats for everyone."
One of these days, I'm gonna change my evil ways, one of these days. Until then, I'll just keep riding on.

ESPN's Outside the Lines: Terrelle Pryor made $20,000-$40,000 autographing memorabilia, according to a former friend who witnessed it.

I find it funny that Colt McCoy's wife or girlfriend or whoever says that she saw Texas players receiving things but that apparently ESPN pulled it from their podcast.

I'm not doubting Pryor did stuff.  That's why I wanted him GONE and am happy with today's news.  I'm doubting the 28 players bullshit that some people are believing b/c of the bogus article that was put out....

Funny how that works...cause yea, I heard that too.....

But this is OSU's time so ESPN doesn't want her to get in the way of their time to rip Ohio State a new @$$hole.....

I mean both Hawk and Wells saw their starting QB get suspended for taking money from a booster (not Pryor...Troy Smith)...but I guess Troy Smith was an isolated incident...

I think I get what O$U fan is saying as long as the player was good and is good in The NFL you can trust his opinion but if it's someone who wasn't a good player they suddenly are bitter and making up stuff just to get back at the school, gotta love the hypocrisy.

That's not what I'm saying at all.  But Hawk was GREAT in college...he was someone that would have been offered something.  Small was worthless in college...nobody would give a rats ass what he had to offer in return for anything.  That's the point.

It's funny how all of the people that may know something are "silent" but all of the people that weren't ever offered something are talkative...stuff may have happened...but it is funny how this all works.....
