I've never made one, so I'll make one! If we win, I'll make next weeks too When the game starts, please post a link and I will edit it into this so everyone can enjoy! Hopefully Calvin and Stafford start. I think it'll be a close game. I hope we win. Goooo Lions

This game is the Lions best chance to win their second game at this stage of the season. Too bad the game did not sell out at Ford Field and shown on local TV. Closest markets to televise today will be at Grand Rapids ans Sault Ste. Marie. I may as well listen to Dan Miller and Jim Brandstatter on WXYT, or even visit the local sports bar to watch it through NFL Sunday Ticket. http://the506.com/nflmaps/2009/08-FOX.html

If Dewayne White goes back on the injured list and misses any more games that should be the nail in the coffin for him as a Lion.

RAMS at LIONS *** Calvin Johnson (knee) is a full blown game-time decision. Impossible to even guess right now if he’ll go. - Matthew Stafford (knee) is expected to start despite being listed as questionable. - Donnie Avery (shoulder) is nicked up all over but will start. That is what rotoworld says.

RE: Official Game Thread: St. Louis (0-7) vs Detroit Lions (1-5)
rotoworld has some different statements lol. this is what i found on rotoworld.com
Calvin Johnson (knee) is expected to start against the Rams on Sunday afternoon. Johnson was limited throughout the week in practice, along with QB Matthew Stafford. Megatron is a must-start against the 25th ranked Rams' pass defense, and it also looks like Stafford will play. Both players' statuses had been up in the air all week. Source: Fox Sports

Matthew Stafford (knee) is expected to start on Sunday against the Rams, according to FoxSports.com. Stafford practiced on a limited basis all week, but will get the start. He could have a big game against the 25th-ranked Ram pass defense. Source: Fox Sports

Isn't Belichick notorious for filling up his injury list? Maybe there is a method to Schwartz's madness.

RE: Official Game Thread: St. Louis (0-7) vs Detroit Lions (1-5)
I wouldn't be surprised if more teams don't end up with longer injury lists, especially after the Jets-Favre fiasco from last year. I could even see Belichick actually listing his entire team as questionable just for a competitive advantage. Think about it, if the NFL was upset about it, he could just say they have some bruises, and they would have to let him get away with it.

Calvin is out according to NFLN. Hope K Smith has a big day. I predict a lot of dropped passes for us.

Re: Official Game Thread: St. Louis (0-7) vs Detroit Lions (1-5)
Lions really need to play well in the first quarter, we need to get an early lead to take the Rams out of handing the ball to Jackson on every play. If we can get to halftime with a 10+ point lead, this game will be as good as over.

Re: Official Game Thread: St. Louis (0-7) vs Detroit Lions (1-5)
Dennis Northcutt replaced Johnson in Detroit's lineup Sunday. Stafford missed two games with an injured right knee. He was able to rest last week because Detroit had a bye. The No. 1 pick in the NFL draft threw three touchdowns and six interceptions in his first four games. He helped the Lions win in Week 3 win against Washington to end their 19-game losing streak. Johnson did not play in the Lions' previous game, a 26-0 loss at Green Bay, after injuring his right knee Oct. 11 against the Steelers. He has 22 receptions for 325 yards receiving and a TD this year. Last season, Johnson had 12 TD receptions. The Rams were without starting right guard Richie Incognito, as expected. He injured his right foot last week when St. Louis lost to Indianapolis and extended its losing streak to 17. Adam Goldberg moved from right tackle to guard, putting Jason Smith back in the lineup. Smith started the first two games of the season. The No. 2 pick in the draft then missed two games with an injured left knee and was a backup in the previous three games. St. Louis had David Vobora at linebacker in place of Larry Grant. Vobora practiced Wednesday for the first time since a four-game suspension for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy. The second-year player has said he plans to file a lawsuit, claiming he took supplements that he checked on through the NFL hot line.

Ugh, no Calvin. Well, time for Stafford to show us that he can win without an all-world WR.

We still have everything going for us. After the bye, at home. We had *better* win this one.
