***Lions @ Raiders Preseason Game Night Thread***

Welcome to another NFL preseason game night with the Lions, everybody!   biggrin  Our Detroit Lions will try to win their second straight preseason game as they are in California East Bay Area to play the Oakland Raiders.  Lions are seeking to avenge their road loss in their last visit at Oakland, where the Raiders defeated our Lions  31-20 just two years ago in the preseason back on August 25, 2012.

However, Detroit has also won the last two regular season meeting played at Oakland, CA. Lions  won   36-21 on opening week back on September 9, 2007.   Lions later won four years later, edging the Raiders and  winning 28-27 back on December 18, 2011.  Raiders were leading 27-14 after three quarters, but the Lions rallied with 14 points, and QB Matthew Stafford threw two touchdowns, each to Titus Young, and Calvin Johnson, to win 28-27.

Sunny and clear skies at 66 degrees is the local game forecast inside the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum for the late 10:05PM Eastern Standard Time kickoff, along with 70% humidity, 0% precipitation, and west/northwest winds at 9 miles per hour.

Visiting Lions are wearing their white jerseys, and silver pants on the playing field, while the Raiders wear their black jerseys, and silver pants.

NO injuries, as players from both teams continue to earn themselves into the 53-man regular season roster.   Continue to Restore The Roar, and GO LIONS!!!!!   excited   excited      excited

Don't you mean the Raiders led 27-14 and the Lions rallied?
"Oh that's great"

I'm hoping for one quarter of the starters, with the exception of CJ. Get megatron one catch, then pull him.
Hopefully we can see two FG's a piece for our kickers.
Hope to see a bunch of Devin Taylor and Van Noy. Along with George Johnson and Caraun Reed.

One of the greatest games of the Lions in recent memory, it's a game I'll never forget.
gkelly: Stafford can always put these together when the game is out of reach.  He's simply a fantasy football QB who racks up stats in garbage time.

Calvin shouldn't even play, he's a beast and doesn't need a bunch of preseason work. I Agree with your post humberto.

He'll likely play a full half in the 3rd game like most other teams have their players do as well.

I want to see Matt get in two series, one if he can drive the field.  I think he needs to get some game time timing back.

If we play the starters i am looking for ebron and tate on offense and ihedigbo and van noy on defense. Watch stafford in the new offense and maybe check out fairley and our corners.

Ill be honest that even tho im used to us sucking all the time im hesitant this year bc i can see us finishing 6-10 as easily as 10-6.

I'm sure there are plenty of others, but I stream the last game at "firstrow.org"  link#2. It was a decent feed, at least last week it was. They are always sketchy. From the home page> nfl>Detroit vs oakland> Link1,2,3,or 4 Just continue to wait, it will eventually come on without having to download anything, regardless of what they say. If not, try a different link from the nfl menu. Any ads are full of viruses. Don't click on one, although you can "x" or "close" one out if it is in front of your viewing

Really hoping the starters go one quarter, more for conditioning reason. Next week they should play a half and maybe the 1st series out of the half, then back to a series or nothing against the Bills
