Re: Test for Butte

You know, that would be my only concern when we discuss the second half. If the offense can support the defense by controlling time of possession, they have the potential to control the outcome. The defense shouldn'd be out there for 90 + plays. Those games you mention were scary close because of their mindset coming out in the second half. I've questioned that and found out that they were feeling a little overconfident. Our running game is good, but if we find ourselves behind two scores in the fourth, we may have to turn more to our passing game. That may be tough with this young group. Under pressure, Nelson has elevated his game and won big games at a MUCH, MUCH lower level in high school. We'll see if he can do the same at this level against talent with speed he's only experienced this year. I just want them to have the mental awareness to play up to their potential throughout the entire game.
