Coaches are a big part in the equation BUT perhaps the athletic ability of the athlete is the second most important piece of the puzzle BUT BUT the most important issue is the Students transcript !!!

There are regional scouting services that reccomend athletes.......... compile highlight clips and send to colleges that subscribe to their services............. and many times even an opposing coach reccomends an athlete to a friend of his at a 4 year school.

In HS my son`s team travelled to play a game with Oakland Tech HS and after the season U of Wyoming was recruiting him........... the head coach of Oakland Tech forwarded his name to his friend at Wyoming. I know this b/c I asked how he started recruiting my son and he told me how his name came up on his radar....... It was the game he had at Oakland Tech HS..............

My point is that grades and talent will get a kid that offer !!!!

another question if you dont mind:  For players who played as freshmen this season, would they have started hearing from recruiters or 4 year school coaches by now if they are legit candidates to move up( after their sophmore season )?

Spring ball will be a chance for the returning freshman when coaches are on campus..........

First of all Coach Slapdick I mean Slap you don't even know me punk.. furthermore there is nothing doubtful about my Athletes that I coach at Redwoods. Reed will be a D1aa kid forsure and Poole will be A D2 kid.. Kevin Brown will be a D1 kid forsure, so you should just keep your mouth shut

No way Redwoods employes someone like this.  This has got to be a player trying to cover up as a coach.  Ha ha.....it is kind of funny.....and also very sad....

I really hope somebody hacked you account. I guess you can say they are on their way up because I really don't think is much more to go down. Only wins came against the worst 3 teams in the North State. The defensive players looks good on film but its hard to tell when you look at the film how he is because of the the players around him. 

Hope Reed goes D1AA for you but I feel he is more then likely going to end up like a place like Humboldt State. Seeing some of the other WR's in the state I don't think I can put him in the Top Level or even the Level below that. GPA will determine a lot about where he goes.

Reed will go D1aa at the least... I'm so ashamed that you don't feel or give redwoods any credit for the athletes they produce. Brown will be a D1 plarer and Poole will be the best wideout in the state next year.

Just looked at where Rowles ended up after CR............ a bounceback at Humboldt State !!!! Most players at CR are D2 caliber athletes at best............. put that bud down JJ..... its fogging your brain

Looking at the final two games of Poole on Hudl I must say I'm not impressed at all with him. D2 for Reed is still a scholarship, sorry if I don't see him as a D1 guy, but he is not one. D1AA and D2 are very close in talent.

There is ZERO chance that Poole will be the top WR next year in the state. If you really believe that then you really have some issues. Its ok to sell a player, but don't sell something that is not what it is.

lol this post cracked me up. I give Kevin Brown his credit top 3 linebacker in the state as a freshman but even i know his talents will be cut short because of who he plays for. Aubrey Reed is definitely a D-2 guy not a D1-AA and beginning the post with two of the best in the state is blasphemy as well. he's probably not top 5 in Bay Valley conference alone, we've had this discussion already. But much luck next year to COR, We have you guys on the schedule still.
