Is the conferance that Yuba City is in a good one.?--

I sent a R.B. from Seattle, Juan Johnson,  down there to Yuba City & he grew in size, strength & responsibility & had a monster season--5'10 --190--workload of carries, but has gone unnoticed.--I know other players from Seattle that are getting offers that aren't as good or have the extra gear he has once through the hole.--How do you get the scouts from the Northwest Schools, UW or WSU, for instance,to notice him--who are they & how do I contact them direct or by e-mail? & if they pass, what is the criteria?--N.Arizona shows interest, as does Central Washington, but he's better than that.--Any advice or comment.--Ingraham Rams Coach

My advice.......nothing wrong with N Arizona or Central Washington. If you can get a school to help pay for your education, then take it.

Or start sending film out to lower D1 schools.

According to his prospect page he has 3 offers and a couple of visits set:

The school is Yuba College and its actually not in Yuba City. The school plays in the bottom division (Its D3) and I would expect the big schools will not be there as often as they are at American River, Butte, CCSF, Fresno and the other big schools. Don't want to sound mean but playing at a D3 school limits the next level opportunities, but it can still be done if the student/athlete is good enough.

maybe this is just myself......but i would choose playing on saturday for a lesser known/lower level d1 or d2 over watching from the sidelines for a big d1  anyday.

I just searched that DIII conference teams.  Mendocino College sent a kid DI, Brett Bowers to New Mexico.  Maybe this Juan kid is being a bit selective?  Maybe his JC coach is not available?  Maybe he is not DI worthy?
Also looks like Contra Costa sent some guys DI as well from same conference....

The Bay Valley Confeence is an up and coming conference, i dont think that has any effect to where Juan might be getting his offers from. The offense he was in definitely shows that he got the ball enough times to get the yards that hes gained. Contra Costa puts out D-1 prospects almost on a regular basis. My best bet is to give coach Carter a call down in San Pablo, and see if he can do Juan a favor.
