Can't wait. Based on the scores I've seen by both teams this season, I believe this should be a great battle.

The last game in SF was CCSF 37 BC 34 ---a really good game.

Looking at this one, I think the DeAnza game showed that Rams WRs will always be able to get at least one guy open, and even in coverage, they find the ball.  And unlike DeAnza, CCSF has a top notch running game.  Rams no-huddle will keep BC defenders on the field.  And Rams get points after takeaways.  

So for Butte to win, I think they will need more than 30 points, and enough ball control first downs to keep the Rams offense off the field.  To do that Saturday will require their best game of the year.

The last time Butte came to SF, it was a wild one --BC opened the game with an on- side kickoff, recovered and drove down the field but couldn't score and missed a FG from the 12 --Rams drove down 80 yrds to score and led 7-0 --then late in the 2nd qrtr, BC blocked a punt in the end zone for a TD, but their PAT was blocked by Nigel Malone who returned it all the way for 2 points --it was CCSF 9-6. Then CCSF took the next possession down for TD and a halftime lead 16-6.  Butte opened the 3rd with a long return to set up a TD, then another on a 30 yard run by Davidson --and it was BC up 20-16.  But then Jantz to Aaron Horne got 2 TDs for City and it was 30-20 Rams.  

In the 4th CCSF got a long drive to go up 37-20 and it appeared over, but Roadrunners Jiles ran back the KO to make it 37-27, then with 5 minutes left another Roadrunners  drive closed it to 37-34--City stopped a potential game winning drive with 1:13 left on an interception by Chapman on the Rams 2 yrd line --final CCSF 37 BC 34.  

Rams went on to beat Fresno but the trip south to face Mt. SAC went the Mounties way that time.

Against common opponents Butte scored 124-42. diff of 82 CCSF was 163-87. diff of 76. That averages 31-10.5 for Butte and 40.75-21.75 for CCSF. I still have to agree with Glen that Butte will still have to play their best game of the season in order to beat City and unlike Glen I will be pulling for Butte.

Lets talk about this years team. Butte will have to rely on its Defense to win this game.Burrell will have to have his best game and the corners are going to have to step up, pressure on San Fran will force the ball to be thrown up for grabs. Spivey has 7 INTs and 5 fumbles the more pressure on him the better Butte chances.CCF has the top back in the conference, he will find rushing against Butte will not be as easy as past weeks.CCF will focus on a balanced attack in the end rely on the 3 headed monster of Harris, Epps, and Hudson through the air. Butte may not have the leading rusher in the Conference but they have the best rushing game overall. Mikell, Seward, will have to continue to carry Buttes offense to win the game. Look for McCoy the kid in the shadows to be the difference maker both on special teams, swing passes and a increasing amount of razor formations. With Fishback leading the passing attack Butte has to continue to be careful. In league play He is 39-87 with a completion rate of just over 44%,He has had a lot of dropped passes but also has had many dropped INTs as well. If they can get the running game going they will need to go downtown with the play action,this is also feeding into one of Fishbacks strengths. Getting the ball to his 2 big tight ends will determine the amount of success he will have, they seem to catch the ball better than the other receivers and backs.Last but not least there kicking game will have to be perfect, 53% will not cut it,this game will come down to a few points. Butte needs to make the field goals, if not they will lose.

You mentioned the corners of Butte will have to step up and pressure the WRs of CCSF.  If you are at the game, watch the CCSF slots.  They make the passing game go.  That is who Butte must take out of the game.

Indeed, Kyani Harris and Dezmon Epps are key to that  offense. Epps has some great speed as well. Looking forward to another great NorCal game.

I Guess it really doesn't matter if Butte will not get a shot at the championship without a DeAnza loss. (not likely)

Will this game be webcast?  I'll be in NYC this weekend, probably the only person in town jonesing for the Butte/CCSF score!
