I agree, the early season loss at San Pablo is a mindblower --I mean, how does an all world QB throw 6 INTs, including one for 90 yrd pick six? and how does your superstar kicker go 0-3 on FGs? how does CC win with only 85 yards of offense --once you deduct one blown coverage 77 yrd catch and run? I think all the distractions at the stadium and the practice facility due to the construction was a factor -I think the game was a fluke--but still, DeAnza lost to CC 13-11, this is football, no excuses. But look what DeAnza has accomplished since then --and CC is also moving forward, Coach Carter is building a solid program.
Here is the
game story for the September
DeAnza at CC game in Week 2 of the season.
http://www.accentadvocate.com/...46#.UJdRhsUmcbghttp://www.mercurynews.com/hig...-turnovers-beatAs for DeAnza matching up with DVC --for sure, seeing two of the top QBs in the US facing off would be great football --I think DeAnza right now is a little too explosive for DVC defense, and Dons are too well coached right now to let DVC's passing game go wild on them. But you are right, it would be a barn burner game.
Again, congratulations to everyone at COS for your topnotch season, best of luck in your bowl game.
