College of the Siskiyous beat Feather River College 48-27 to lock up the Mid-Empire Conference. They looked very imressive up front on both sides and Christian Reyes rushed for over 200 yards to break the school record for single season yards. The 2 other freshmen RB's (#4 & #28) looked imprssive a well. Congrats to Coach Roche and the Staff on a great season.

I think Eagles have earned a top ten ranking in the State Polls, one of the best teams I have seen this season.  I think conference rules means they match up with GG Conference winner in a bowl game.

I just looked at the current rankings on the CCCAA site, and for the most part they seem fair. Not sure how De Anza loses to Contra Costa and stays so high in the rankings. Contra Costa only beat Redwoods by 1 point today IMO I think DVC is better than De Anza. I would love to see those 2 teams play in a Bowl. What do you think.

I agree, the early season loss at San Pablo is a mindblower --I mean, how does an all world QB throw 6 INTs, including one for 90 yrd pick six? and how does your superstar kicker go 0-3 on FGs? how does CC win with only 85 yards of offense --once you deduct one blown coverage 77 yrd catch and run?  I think all the distractions at the stadium and the practice facility due to the construction was a factor -I think the game was a fluke--but still, DeAnza lost to CC 13-11, this is football, no excuses.  But look what DeAnza has accomplished since then --and CC is also moving forward, Coach Carter is building a solid program.

As for DeAnza matching up with DVC --for sure, seeing two of the top QBs in the US facing off would be great football --I think DeAnza right now is a little too explosive for DVC defense, and Dons are too well coached right now to let DVC's passing game go wild on them. But you are right, it would be a barn burner game.

Great question, I honestly can't answer it --I still remember that electrifying first half at CCSF, and the heartbreaker against SRJC --DVC is building a great program, and so is DeAnza.

I am not supriresed at all. I attended almost every game that COS played this year and I was amazed and I am hyped and ready to see what they will do next year

Last year Mid Empire ( ARC) hosted the bowl game in Sacramento against GG
(Chabot).
Does that mean the bowl game this year will be in Hayward?  or will it be in Weed?

The game should be at Siskiyous, make the other D2 team play in the snow and enjoy the nice trip up on Highway 5 to Weed.
