Re: 11/3 Predictions

Sadly it looks like COS will lose in convincing fashion to ARC & get stopped by Fresburg, thus ending with a losing season...

Re: Laney 37 Reedley 20

Laney continued its strong conference play, getting big plays from Xavier Milton and a brilliant open field run from Charles Cobbs.  Reedley played hard, right up to the last snap, especially QB Sean Stell; Tigers just missed pulling in some passes that would have points on the scoreboard, and made this a tighter result.

Reedley closes at home next week against Chabot, Laney moves to 4-5 (3-1) and closes at Sac City next week.  Eagles end up a single play not converted from winning the GG Conference.

As always, my hat is off to Reedley's families and fans who made the trip, thanks for showing orange class on a Bay Area football field.  Tigers have a lot of Freshman, I hope next year will be a strong one for RC.

Milton is a good one.

Re: DVC 38 Sac City 15

DVC rebounds from a tough matchup with Siskiyous to top the Panthers 38-15 at College Park.

Sac City closes at home next week against Laney, DVC closes with Feather River.

Re: 11/3 Predictions

Why do so many of these East Bay teams play their home games on Friday nights?  Don't they have high schools in that area? tongue

Re: 11/3 Predictions

Some HS's in the area are not able to play on Friday Nights due to safety issues. I know in previous years (No longer true) the DVC shared their field with De La Salle. So they flopped days before. I know some schools do not have class on Friday so it may have something to do with that too.

Re: 11/3 Predictions

What "safety issues" are we talking about?  Also, why don't some of these so-called "schools" have classes on Fridays?

Re: 11/3 Predictions

Safety Issues would be fights in the stands at the High School games. Been to a few basketball games where they have metal detectors at games.

Most of the Junior Colleges have gone to a 4 day schedule. M-W & T-Th with 90 minute classes instead of the tradition M-W-F & T-Th schedule. I believe some schools like Diablo Valley are closed on Friday's now.
