Finding a good JUCO

Finding a good JUCO

I'm trying to help my son find a good juco to attend to play football. He is senior in maryland, 6'1, 180, and 4.5/40. His position is DE but he is more of a LB. He has played football since he was 10yr as a RB. He was not able to play during his 10th and 11th grade yr because of his grades. So during his 12th grade, he was the second string RB (never had an opportunity to beat of 1st string) and didn't get much playing time. However, during the first game, he was asked would he consider playing DE because they needed someone to put pressure on the QB. So he took the opportunity to show his athleticism and did pretty good at the position. I don't know exactly how many tackles he had but he started every game and end the season with 12 sacks. He heard from a few d2 schools but I believe they backed off due to his grades (3.5 currently but cumulative 2.5 GPA). He took the SAT (720) and ACT (15) once and will take it again in Feb 2013. He just wants to get with a good team and coach to show and develop his skills. Does anyone have any advice on choosing a good JUCO that could use a player such as my son? Time is running out.
