Re: 7 former juco players in Super Bowl

Bandrat son, you don't want me to go there; trust me.

But, for the moment, until I have a little more time to fool with it, let me just leave a few nuggets for you.

BEST NFL Quarterback of All Time..........From Mississippi
BEST NFL Running back of All Time.......From Mississippi
BEST NFL Receiver of All Time................From Mississippi
BEST NFL Tight End of All Time...............From Mississippi

That ain't just the south boy; that's just one single state in the south........bored1

Other notables from the South:

Reggie White from Tennessee
Deion Sanders from Florida
Emmitt Smith from Florida
Snake Stabler from Alabama
Archie Manning from Mississippi
Peyton and Eli of course--Louisiana

And that's just a few

Re: 7 former juco players in Super Bowl

Best QB?  Favre?  Maybe stat-wise, but I could name five QBs better than him that either won more Super Bowls or were more effective and didn't turn the ball over so much. Favre is far from the best QB of all-time.

Joe Montana
Dan Marino
John Elway
Steve Young
Peyton Manning
Fran Tarkenton
Johnny Unitas

Hell, I can't stand the guy, but you could probably start putting Tom Brady in the mix as a better QB than Favre. Just because Favre played for 20 years, which allowed him to set the TD and passing yards record doesn't make him the best QB ever. You're forgetting the guy threw pick after pick and had numerous game-killing drives (especially in the postseason) because of his bonehead decisions by saying "f--- it, I'm throwing deep!"

There's no debating Rice at WR, but there's probably a discussion for Payton. Jim Brown, Barry Sanders, Emmitt Smith, Marshall Faulk, Marcus Allen, LaDainian Tomlinson are just a few names. Payton does make my top 3 easily. I'm more inclined to put Jim Brown at No. 1 just for the numbers he put up in back then were only 12- and 14-game seasons. The guy only played nine seasons and led the league in rushing eight of those seasons! His last season he finished with 1,544 rushing yards and that guy never shied away from contact. I'm amazed every time I see highlights of some of his runs on NFL Films.

TE? Tony Gonzalez? Shannon Sharpe? Ozzie Newsome? Sterling Sharpe? I think all those names would come well before Jackie Smith.
