Butler's lose

Butler's lose

One of Butler's prize recruits de-committed yesterday and will most probably be attending Penn state, I should say State Penn in Missouri! Jamone A. Boyd, A highly-touted Lee’s Summit West High School football player was charged Monday with armed robbery. Boyd was scheduled to sign a letter of intent Wednesday to attend Butler Community College in El Dorado, Kan., where he planned to play football. He previously committed to Kansas State. Boyd, a four-star defensive end who had received interest from Missouri, Kansas, Kansas State and Nebraska among other schools, was also cited in November for municipal offenses of resisting arrest and possessing marijuana.

Looks like I was right, good job of signing criminals BUCO!
Maybe next year you can get by Highland and play a real team down South in a bowl game.

EMCC vs GMC for National title, the way it should be!

So as long as they can help you to a national title game, it is ok? but if you lose a single game, it is a bad thing?

Before South jumps in here. We will probably have to call this one a draw. Tyler Hayes is at Butler

Re: Butler's lose

I always see posts about the high character of Buco players & coaches. When a kid robs someone at gunpoint after he breaks into an apartment a week prior to signing day, and this is his 3rd run-in w/ the law, and you still sign him... I question that coaches character!
Selling your soul for victories! I wonder if Highland and Dodge turned their programs around by signing armed convicts.
I wonder if Boyd would be playing for Buco if he was a 2-star???

You are acting like a childish moron. Every JUCO has some players with character issues or past behavioral problems -- it's the nature of the beast. Butler's coaches and program are 100% clean and above board. The coaching staff works very, very hard to make sure these guys behave themselve while they are at Butler, and they always do. Hopefully, for most of these second-chance guys, their JUCO experiences help them mature into well-adjusted adults. As far as I can tell, that is the case for a lot of these guys.

That's all the coaching staff can do. After that, it's up to the individual to either improve his lot in life . . . or not. That you think this is a knock on Butler just shows how ridiculously shallow you are.

Again I am sure EMCC players pure as the driven snow
But you are to dishonest to admit that. I want to do a little research on your players but didn't find a lot. Do they have internet in all parts of Mississippi?
Actually Boyd isn't playing all that much at Butler.
Troy is pretty strict after players are in house. Pretty much zero tolerance. Starting conerback whacked a week before the season started for team rules violation.

"Troy is PRETTY strict after players are in house. PRETTY MUCH zero tolerance." that makes sense.

I'm all for second chances, but B/E and armed robbery... Not to mention this was his 3rd issue within a year, but he was a 4-star.

Grizz I don't really comprehend your post. However I do understand that Boyd was a 4-STAR so he's probably worth the risk, I mean it was only armed robbery, it's not like he pulled the trigger of THE GUN THAT WAS POINTED AT ANOTHER HUMAN!

Re: Butler's lose

On a side note, sort of off topic, but I want to give credit to a jayhawk team and coach. Hutch and coach Rhoads, because of the ballsy selection to play Dakota college in their bowl game, usually hutch tries to get an automatic W. Not this year Dakota college is 8-2, I heard their D is pretty dominant (they shutout trinity bible last week). I give credit where credit is due, good luck hutch... You'll need it!
