2012 Bowl Picks
Alright gents, here we are, it's about that time to put in your picks for the bowl games.
10 games scheduled, can anyone go 10-0??? Here it goes...
The Graphic Edge Bowl
#18 Louisburg (6-2) vs. Ellsworth (6-4)
Mississippi Bowl
#7 Copiah-Lincoln (9-2) vs. Garden City (6-4)
Citizen's Bank Bowl
#9 Northeastern Oklahoma A&M (9-2) vs. #15 College of DuPage (8-2)
Valley of the Sun Bowl
#19 Glendale (7-3) vs. Mesa (6-4)
El Toro Bowl
#6 Nassau (9-1) vs. #12 Arizona Western (7-2)
Salt City Bowl
#14 Hutchinson (8-3) vs. Iowa Central (6-4)
Carrier Dome Bowl
#3 ASA (9-0) vs. #4 Snow (10-1)
Brazos Valley Bowl
#11 Kilgore (8-2) vs. #13 Northwest Mississippi (7-2)
Heart of Texas Bowl
#5 Navarro (9-2) vs. #20 Georgia Military (7-3)
NJCAA National Championship Game
#1 Iowa Western (11-0) vs. #2 Butler (11-0)
I got:
Louisburg - in a tight one.
Copiah-Lincoln - by double digits.
NEO - in a high scoring game. (maybe an upset)
Mesa - back to back wins.
Nassau - defense wins it for them.
Hutchinson - won't be challanged.
ASA - defense to much for the Badger offense.
Kilgore - is Texas king?
Navarro - will pull away in 2nd half.
Iowa Western - by a final second field goal.

Re: 2012 Bowl Picks
Louisburg - pure guess on my part, since I know little about either team. Co-Lin -- although I'd like to see GC put up a good fight, this is not an even matchup. NEO -- DuPage has no chance. NEO is going to slaughter them. Glendale -- beat Mesa in a close one last week, so I'll pick them to do it again. Nassau -- only because I pick defense over offense most of the time, and I don't put much stock in AZW's defense. Hutch -- no brainer Snow -- ASA hasn't played anyone as good as Snow all year.
Kilgore -- This should be a good one.
Navarro -- I don't think the final score will be very close.
Butler -- who else? Jk, this will be a good game.

RE: 2012 Bowl Picks
Louisburg - no idea Co-Lin - closer than people expect NEO - not close Glendale - was mesa really the best choice? AZW Hutch - not close Snow - let's see how well they travel Kilgore Navarro Butler

Re: 2012 Bowl Picks
I have no problem with you picking IWCC over Butler, and I doubt any other Butler fan does, either. It should be a good game. But, Garden? So, you're a homer for the KJCCC as long as its not for the best team in the conference? Bitter much?

Re: 2012 Bowl Picks
There you go, Jayhawk. Irish nailed it.
You don't have any of the three most important coaches for Butler -- Morrell, Braet, and Schaffner. All you have is proteges of the greats.
CV has tried using Butler's underling coaches several times over the last decade, and it hasn't worked, yet.

Re: 2012 Bowl Picks
time is a wonderful thing; it's on my side........all we have to do is wait and see. it's much eaiser to get there, then it is to stay there! ask Tiger Woods, any great boxer, baseball player, football player, don't matter. Enjoy the success while it lasts; it will go away with time. by the way! I do hope Butler wins that game Dec.2nd, 2012... it's good for the Conference - I know that. Have fun you pecker heads!!!!!

Re: 2012 Bowl Picks
I was one of those that underestimated them. Congrats to Garden City. The 4th-best Jayhawk team took down the Mississippi champ..... in Mississippi. Read that sentence again and let it sink in for a minute. Wow!

Re: 2012 Bowl Picks
I went 3-7... DuPage pulled the upset. Should of stay with that pick. Snow capitalized and all the ASA miscues. That game was closer than what the score indicated. Congrats to all the bowl winners and Iowa Western on their well earned National Championship run.
