Butler79 would make a good one; he knows almost everything.

Irish2009 will be his assistant; between the two of them they will beat eveyone. cool

I'm holding out for Steve Braet's job when he retires.

Sorry, DCCC fans.

A good place to check for coaching updates is the Scoop. www.footballscoop.com/the-scoop

Other JC coaching notes from the last week:

Rochester Community & Technical College (JC - MN): Head coach Derrick Hintz has resigned.
Mississippi Delta CC: Head coach Todd Lott has resigned.
Pearl River CC (MS): Head coach Tim Hatten has announced his resignation (effective June 30, 2013).
Holmes (MS) and Navarro (TX) are looking for assistant coaches for various needs.

Tim Hatten would turn Dodge City around in 3 years.

Dr. Don Woodburn should really go after him in a big way!

The PRCC job would be great for someone looking to build a name for themselves. Especially with the growth around the area.

Is this a job that is in great demand? Who is at the top of their coaches list? Does the program have the support and resources to compete?

I contacted the HR department yesterday. They are in the process of contacting potential candidates to interview for the position.

Re: DCCC new coach

The new head coach at DCCC is Coach Gary Thomas. He was the head coach at College of DuPage the past 2yrs.

He went 15-5 in two regular seasons and 2-0 in bowl games. With wins over Coffeyville and NEO in the bowl games.

That's the best candidate they had for this job? I had heard rumors of a couple others and I thought they were great options... did they turn down the job?

Re: DCCC new coach

Considering the guy won two bowl games with no scholarships and no full-time coaches, I'd be pretty excited to see what this guy can do with some extra tools.

The concern is if the DC administration gives him the backing. I've never really thought they seem very excited about having athletics there.

Re: DCCC new coach

He will have up to 5 full-time coaches on board and I believe the school has a new president that is a big football guy.

Sources tell me to look for big changes coming soon after the March conference meetings.

Stay tune...
