Wouldn't it be fun if Citrus came in and just kicked A$$ and took names in the Central Conference.  It's not out of the realm of possibility - they have played both MS and RCC very close nail biters in recent years.

Citrus in 2012 (7-4)
Citrus 18   RCC 21 in OT
Citrus  24  FC     21

Citrus in 2013 (8-3) *Their 3rd loss was to Chaffey noidea
Citrus  32   MS    33
Citrus  50   RCC 51
Citrus  25   SC    14

Anybody know anything about 2014 Citrus?

Re: Who Wins The National Central Conference?

acdad,

I certainly don't claim to have any knowledge about the Owls, but I have given them a little scrutiny as Palomar host Citrus in their opener.
I think everyone knows about Larry Cutbirth. Other than a handful of teammates Citrus looks like they have a lot of inexperience. They lost their defensive leader in middle linebacker Duplesis (I think that was his name) and according to what i've seen they are not returning a single starting offensive linemen, at least none who participated in their bowl game against SC.
Of course, I may be mistaken, but these Owls will be different. They do look like they are steadily trending towards being a powerhouse in Southern California, but this year will really test their coaching staff.
I like their overall look but I'm hopeful that they don't get it going until week 2.
Somehow I have come to the opinion that Long Beach will be the bigger threat to post an upset in the Central. But they have their own issues to deal with, like stopping the run. Can't wait till kickoff.

Great post UF - it looks like finally we have some actual football to talk about.  We're getting close to only 2 weeks away - it will be prediction time again soon.  Good luck with your Comets.

I'm taking RCC due to logistics, the Mounties play at Wheelock Stadium for the second year in a row, advantage RCC . . .

That would be sweet but like the others have mentioned citrus and long beach are my other concerns. And then there's Chaffey. Are they going to come in big or not. Always can't wait to see things unfold.

Question for diablos ...

Craft and Sonya are in a debate to determine a tie breaker for the SoCal championship...who are you rooting for?

Actually Skuba, I'm glad you brought up this topic . . . I've been leaning toward joining the goon squad in week one @ COC . . . But if the BC fans can guarantee a Sonya sighting in week one @ RCC, I'm torn between my team loyality and my carnal psyche . . .
