BCFan – No Longer a “Turncoat”

BCFan – No Longer a “Turncoat”

It’s official – BC is returning the Gades (and the fans) to the old home side of the field – the North side.  This, along with the announcement that they will be live-streaming all 10 football games this year, was stated in their annual letter offering this year’s season tickets.

So, even though BCFan posted pictures with his name photo shopped on the south home-side of the stadium (HOME OF BCFan) rolleyes, many knew that he was rubbing shoulders with the “enemy” at every home game.  Though no fault of his own – this problem has been fixed – BCFan is again a legit Renegade fan.

GO GADES! 2014

“DAD” – I (we) did NOT move – Because I (we) always knew the wayward flock would return
So just who were the turncoats, REALLY?

You may have a point there BCFan.  I kind of bought in to their explanations for changing sides but most didn't.  My wife hated it and I don't think most Gade fans liked facing the heat and having to shade their eyes from the blazing afternoon sun (that's better suited for members of the goon squad who, don't kid yourself, loved for Gades fans to have to sit on their splintered seats).

Part of what I like about season tickets is getting to know the fans around you.  Here we go again - musical chairs.  Well at least I still know where you sit.

GO GADES!

I've always sat on the visitors side unless I'm down on the field. It's fun when the canon goes off and unsuspecting fans dive onto their hot dog wrappers like it's a drive by.

It looks like tradition and bcfan combined defeated innovation, a generation gap, and failure to learn from history . . . Say what you want, but for a man to remain a persistant fixture within a stadium outweighs any bells and whistles a game day experience has to offer . . . Offer this loyalist complimentary season tickets for 2014, and let this be a lesson to all of us . . . "You can take the fan out of the game, but you cannot take the game out of the fan."
