Took a road trip to Bakersfield today, and what did I learn:

Gas is 25 cents cheaper than the LA area;

Kern County roads and freeways are smoother, more potholes in LA county;

Met three of my fellow bloggers, and the four of us are just plain . . . S I L L Y . . .

I don't know what an hour of his time is worth, but when he was charging $9.99 a month, he wasn't spending much time deleting posts.

Re: JCKevin

Go ahead............ help johnny junior out...... just stated the facts.... college of the redwoods competes at a lower level than the schools that i mentioned.... he has beat that drum all year and all i did was list the stats of his wr and point out the fact that the wrs` stats would diminish against mt sac, bakersfield, butte, ccsf and tier 1 competition. so, make a point diablos that would be relevant........... as far as stating that scuba was a clone of mm.......... is that incorrect and his words of wisdom about kevin deleting posts that by the majority are those of the goon squad is that mis information ??? seems odd that the administrator of mms` site is offering kevin advise about deleting posts when he and mm and others laugh about it on mms` site...........

Re: JCKevin

NC65 . . . Here is some relevant info for fellow bloggers, it has to do the CC reform acts approved by Board of Governors, the body that administers CC funding, the last line in this passage relating to the game we fellow bloggers enjoy following:

The California Community Colleges governing board will examine a new system-wide policy change in 2012-13 that would limit students from being able to repeat certain courses, primarily in arts and physical education, after their successful completion, as part of an effort to better allocate already meager state funds.

"Some students enroll in community colleges and take PE class or tennis, three times in a row," said Paul Feist, a spokesman for the California Community Colleges' Chancellor's Office. "In this age of budget cuts, where we've been forced to ration education, it just seems like there's a better use of state funding for courses that are more lined up with students' needs for certificates, degrees and transfers."

Under the new policy, colleges would be allowed to claim the portion of state funds for these courses only once for each student. The change in policy would affect roughly 2.6 million students at 112 campuses statewide in what is the world's largest system of higher education.

California Community Colleges officials will recommend the Board of Governors approve the policy change for students who have successfully completed a course once with an A, B, C or "Pass"; currently students can take PE and performing arts courses up to four times.

The new policy would still allow certain courses to be repeated, including those required for transfer to a UC or CSU, for example if a student needs more than one semester of an arts course. Other courses that could be repeated include legally mandated courses, such as CPR, as well as courses for changes in industry or licensure standards.

Students could repeat courses in intercollegiate athletics if, for example, a football player is required to take a conditioning class to keep in shape for the season.

Re: JCKevin

I could NEVER fill the shoes of Mountieman NC, but I'll take that as a compliment.

But seriously, are my jokes really that bad?.......Don't you answer that BCfan. Maybe my delivery is off. I was kinda kidding with the deletion comment. Even if I was serious it would not have been "advice". It was simply a comment.

Cant argue with your assessment of the goon squad deletions though I think Gadesrule snatched the gold in the individual competition. tongue  Now answer me this NC. Why is there so much NONE Goon Squad deleting?  I get the feeling you think its justified with the goon squad but not with you.  Your right that I generally don't care for deletions. everyone knows it can be irritating but it appears to me Kevin is at least an equal opportunity deleter and all I can ask for is an level playing field. So kudos to Kevin on that.

Oh, you should say hi next time you stop in the other site. We are not Lepers ya know lol. and you wont be deleted biggrin

Re: JCKevin

It seems like the SoCal Board changes every year.  I must admit it was a little strange last year with no Mt SAC participants. I didn’t miss the endless HA HA HA’s, and all of the in-your-face stuff though. Gadesrule is gone and Mountieman is gone.  But all of that is in the past. With a little bit of effort I hope we have a good board this year.  The 3 conferences and the great early season matchups, I think, make for an interesting season….that is if BC doesn’t go 4-6 again. ohlord

GO GADES!

Re: JCKevin

This site is great . . . Guess acdad says it best, focus should be on football, the participants that include the players and coaches, the fans with their perspectives and input, and finally a little nonsense to add levity to our day . . .
