Saddleback got beat by RCC 51-13 week 2.  Riverside got shut out by Mt. Sac week 10.  Saddleback played albeit on a wet, sloggy field to a 12-7 loss in the bowl game and were it not for 1 zealous SCIAC official the Gauchos would have won the game.  It's not how you start - it's how you finish and Saddleback was on a roll at the end of the season.
