Re: GADESRULE Memorial Stadium?

I wasn't implying that you were cherry picking Ncoast. I was stating that companies like Field Turf do. I did a story on artificial vs grass years ago, and it was on internet sites like Field Turfs and other websites. It's so old now, I can't find it anymore.
At that time, I think the NFL was just starting their study. Studies done on actual NFL players rate Field Turf as the best of all playing fields. They've done the study every year for over ten years.

Regardless of injury rates, which different studies show differing opinions, the fact that
many D-1 programs and 21 NFL teams use Field Turf alone says something. Having an enclosed stadium surely factors into that, but I think NFL teams would not put 100 million dollar QBs on the field if they thought the injury rates were much higher than regular grass.

On the flip side, they are coming up with new strains of grass that are very hardy and drought resistant, like the Central Valley's own hybrid bermuda called 419 Tifway, so the momentum may swing back. In fact, there are now combination artificial and real grass surfaces called Desso Grassmaster that the Broncos, Packers, and Eagles have.

I would think that the removal of sand followed by using 419 Tifway would be the way to go for BC. After all, it is a grass specifically designed for the Central Valley.
