I was kind of amused by the similarities between BC’s and MtSAC’s sales approaches (from diablos www.sgvtribune.com/news/ci_224...-result-prop-30) when it came to artificial turf. Olymics…major track meets…big time soccer games, we’ll save $60,000 a year on maintenance etc. BCFan made a good point in his Campbell’s Soup Bowl post. It all sounds exciting, but bottom line is it is definitely not a necessity. With our economy as it has been (particularly in CA) it is surprising to me how we keep throwing the money around…..like we actually have it. It’s kind of like what we need NOW in CA is high speed rail, Amtrack has been so successful………
