BREAKING BC NEWS. RELOADED AT QB
Sources have informed me that BC has a new D1 caliber QB in the fold.
Perhaps you have heard the name. He was a Golden Valley kid who spent last year back east and at one time had interest at BYU, Penn St and was comitted to Indiana St until coach Miles bolted for Georgia State.
Inspirational story too. More on that later.

How does a traditional running team like BC keep getting these D1 caliber QBs? You'd think they'd prefer to play in an offensive scheme that features the quarterback.

He commited to Indiana St but when their coach left he was stuck sitting as a freshman for a new coach that didn't recruit him or play a year and get better. He's from Bako and is excited to get BC another state AND national title.
As for D1 offers he had looks from BYU and I think Penn St wanted him.
And BC has not been a run school since 2006-07.
Five of BC's past 6 QB's in those years are in the tops of BC's passing records.

What is the all-time record for TD passes in a season by a BC quarterback? Yardage?

He is more suited for a team like BC that runs a balanced attack.......... he is a pure pocket type QB, pocket pass is his forte !!!! Plus afterall BC is the State Champion team !!!
FYI........... BC last year averaged 412 ypg..... rushing 213.8 ypg and 27 TDs... passing for 198.2 ypg and 28 TDs scoring at a 34.5 points per game while yielding 17.2 points per game..... the Renegades ranked #1-4 in most offensive stats !!!!
Who wouldn`t want to play in a balanced attack like that ???

Jacob Bower passed for 3034 yards in 2007 with 35 TDs in one season for BC. Darrik Martin passed for 2446 yards in 2010 his senior year at Golden Valley High in Bakersfield. This is very big for BC this next year especially if rb D.J. Martin is also going to be a Renegade this coming year as rumored. GO GADES 2013  |

Put an O-line in front of that QB, RB’s and receivers and the Gades may have themselves a good offense. In recent years depth in the O-line has been the Gades weakest link. The Renegades were fortunate not to have any injuries to the O-linemen this year. They had only 1 or 2 backups. |

Marcus - Do you know if Darrik Martin is a Fr. or Soph.?
The 2013 BC team is looking good as long as we don't lose any key players to bad grades and on defense find a couple of pass rushers to replace Hollis and Oglesby.
