Re: State Championship
Brooker1: Congratulations to all of the Gades on your championship. Hang on to that ring, it will give you many years of good memories and you can show it to your kids some day. You were part of a very unique Renegade team that started the year 2-2 and ended up State Champs by beating the best of the best. After the second early season loss to Mt SAC, I heard that Coach Chudy laid in to the team for not giving it your all. ‘Your quarterback is getting sacked and you’re watching him get up by himself, you have 1st and goal on the three yard line to go up on Mt. SAC by 14 and you can’t punch it in……Don’t bother showing up to Monday’s practice if you aren’t ready to dedicate yourself 100% to this team – I don’t care who you are.’
I’m sure Chudy saw the extraordinary potential that this year’s team had and didn’t want it to go to waste. As a fan, thanks to the coaches and team for a great year.

Re: State Championship
Can you imagine how big the crowd would have been if Fresno made the final?

Re: State Championship
Congratulations to the BC family, the taking down of Mt.Sac and City College does my heart good. Bummed that I missed the game and completely forgot about the web cast. So my 2nd favorite JC football team won the title, this has made my football season much brighter, Being a CoC, USC and a Raider fan, this season has been very disappointing. So I'll be a Gade fan again for just a little while.

Guess he told me...
Thank you for offering your feelings on the CCCAA Football State Championship program cover. I will tell you exactly what I have told everyone else. The Championship programs for each of the 23 Championships are designed prior to each season (Fall and Spring). For the last 5 years we have placed a picture of a participant that represented the teams from the previous year’s Championship. Until this year we have not had one complaint. In the case of Mt. Sac, they have been a participant in the previous 5 Championship games. CCSF also participated in last year’s Championship. If you attend next year’s Championship there will be pictures representing BC and CCSF. If you wish confirmation please see the attached. 2012 Cover - You have seen 2011 Cover - Mt. Sac and CCSF pictures from 2010 (Mt. Sac and CCSF were actual game participating teams) 2010 Cover - College of San Mateo and Mt. Sac pictures from 2009 (Mt. Sac and CCSF were actual game participating teams) 2009 Cover - Mt. Sac and Butte pictures from 2008 (Mt. Sac and College of San Mateo were actual game participating teams) 2008 Cover - Mt. Sac and CCSF pictures form 2007 (Mt. Sac and Butte were actual game participating teams) Carlyle Carter CEO/President, Calif. C. C. Athletic Association Executive Director, Calif. C. C. Athletic Association Board of Directors 2017 "O" Street Sacramento, CA 95811 (916)444-1600 Providing Opportunities....Fulfilling Dreams

Re: State Championship
So that makes it okay? They know for two weeks who is going to be in the final. They must assume that the printers work like a bureaucracy too.

Re: State Championship
C. Carter . . . Re: Program acumen . . . With all due respect to the responsibility of program publishing and distribution . . . BC fans and CCSF earned the opportunity to play for the state title . . . On your wedding day, the photo album should focus on the bride and groom . . . Your CA driver's license should reflect a recent photo of the driver . . . A holiday card should represent the family, some variance acceptable, OK to include the family dog . . . Perhaps the previous blogger, "does that make it correct" sums this issue up best . . . Can we make it right going forward . . . Any printers out there that can produce this "programs for sell" within two weeks? My personal prospective coming from a Mt Sac fan feeling like our photo made it rain on someone else's parade?

Re: State Championship
I can admit to a little let down seeing Mt SAC’s (BC’s nemesis since 2007) picture on the program cover. The common thread, among the team names listed above by the CCCAA, is that all of those teams have been there – done that in recent years. It’s been a long-long time since BC has won the equivalent of a CA State Championship. Many Gade fans will hold on to that program as a memento. I guarantee BCFan has a special place in his BC history books to save that program – WITH MT SAC’S PICTURE ON IT!

Re: State Championship
I noticed the cover photo sometime during the 1st qtr and took it back get my money back...they refused so I threw it in the trash right in front of them.
That explanation by Mr. Carter was just ridiculous. In this time of instant corrections or revisions, there is no need for a program cover's content to be decided months in advance. If BC has not earned the right to be in next years game then they should not be on the cover robbing another team that has earned it!!!
I do thank Mr. Carter and the CCCAA though.....our coach used it as motivation for the players. Together with 16,000 of the player's family, friends and neighbors, the Gades came out highly motivated!!!
