I have a lot of respect for Coach Jastrab and the program he's built. I never said I didn't.
Yes, the Mounties represented the South after last season in the State title game, but that shall forever have a blemish on it. Is it MSAC's fault? No. They are just lucky that the SCFA employed a stupid point system that blew up in their faces. Instead of talking about that, people want to sweep it all under the rug and talk about the ongoing dominance of MSAC.
I am not instigating. I am only responding to those who talk about MSAC's string of 6 SoCal championships and how no one has been able to stop them. We all know that is not exactly the truth. The dominance of MSAC ended over a year ago, on September 24th.
Here's how it stacked up going into the last game of the 2011 season:
RCC (11-0) had 10 first place votes. MSAC (10-1) had 3. RCC blew out Southwestern, as expected, and MSAC struggled with a very poor Pasadena squad, even trailing at halftime. The voters all got together afterwards and had a big stinker on their hands. How could they admit that the #1 team in SoCal was not going to the playoffs, but #2, 3, 4 and 5 were? So one voter abstained and they divided the remaining 12 votes between RCC and MSAC. That way, they could at least say that a team that was tied for the #1 ranking was going to the playoffs. In political circles, this is known as a "fix". If this is not what happened, then we are all interested to hear what did. RCC lost #1 votes to a MSAC team who struggled with Pasadena? C'MON MAN!
While there was more to RCC being ranked #1, the win over MSAC was the biggie. I bet that 90-yard TD on 3rd and 6 in the 4th quarter felt like a dagger. I thought for sure the Mounties were going to hold the Tigers. I guess that's why they play the games. As for the 36-10 MSAC victory in '10, you'll recall that RCC returned a Lamaison interception 102 yards to take the lead at the half, only to have the play called back. You may also remember that our starting QB was on the bench in the second half due to injury. I'm not saying you guys wouldn't have won anyway. You were supposed to win. Of course, you were supposed to have won last year as well.
Since you brought it up, here's a highlight of last season's game to get us all ready for the big showdown this year:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=utJsQvGo7EwGood luck the rest of the way. I want to see an undefeated MSAC team on Nov. 10th. Yeah, I know, MSAC is expected to continue their dominance, but you never know.

I believe it is time for you to let it go. You got the win, what more do you want? Should I keep bringing up the 36-10 Mt. SAC victory against RCC from 2010?
Do you have any new, relevant material?
You're like a five-year old looking to get a reaction out of adults.
Do not forget that at one time you praised Mt. SAC.
