Iowa will be 2-3 when they go to E. Lansing, where they will get destroyed.
Iowa will beat N. Illinois. They will struggle to do so but they will
Iowa will LOSE to ISU and wear stupid looking throwback uniforms while doing so. ISU will shred Iowa's even worse D then last year. ISU will win by 10 or more points. Plus ISU is better coached and he (Paul Rhodes)knows how to beat Iowa now.
Iowa will lose to UNI. In 2009 it took 2x block FG's with KF best team to beat UNI. Iowa does not have half the talent they did in 2009. Mark Farley is a darn good coach, he will have his team ready to play, UNI wins.
Iowa will beat C. Michigan.....or at least they should..
Iowa will lose to MInny again...they couldn't beat them the last two years when they were the inferior team now that roles are switched. I may have asked this before, but I wonder if he'll even admit he was wrong if Iowa wins 6 or more games this year. My guess is if Iowa wins 6, he'll just use that for another pessimistic rant; how that was only one more win than what he expected...even though he was wrong. It's all about right and wrong. I went to Iowa for PA school. I have been a season ticket holder since 2001. I am a member of the Polk County I-Club.
So quit questioning my loyalty...thinking Iowa can do better then KF and not liking Iowa are two different things.....but go ahead and keep calling me coward, or internet tough guy, challenging me to a bet and or a fight, posting funny pictures to make fun of me, sending me nasty and threatening PM's, lecturing me about being a "true" Iowa fan and of course calling me a "bad" fan....if it makes you feel better. Iowa was not a elite team like people think they were last year. this year from the 2 deeps from spring, there will not be vey many players in the 2 deeps 3 maybe 4 at most compared to 16 last season, JVB had a season like Stanzi did in his 1st season, being starting his 2nd season he will improve, more than likely the success will be dependent on how fast the youth on the defense takes to gel. as for the Offense other than RB the offense will and should be enough to carry them thru the 1st 5 games. take the, I hate KF glasses off and take a good look at what's there. as the home team Iowa will always be tough. the fact that it took ISU 2 overtimes to beat Iowa at ISU's stadium, should give a clue to how bad ISU's defense is |

According to Lindy's, ISU has the 2nd best LB corps in the nation. They also return some key starters on the D-line and in the secondary...along with losing a couple of solid players. So while ISU's defense isn't going to be among the best iowa faces this year, you are quite wrong if you think they will not be a solid group. Under Burnham, there has been strong improvement each year and he is confident that this year's squad will continue that trend. I certainly consider Iowa to be the favorite when my Clones roll into Iowa City, but it will almost certainly be a very tough game...the usual dogfight IMHO.

that is what it is every year, the home team ussually wins in this one, what's on paper goes out the window with instate teams, I give the edge to Iowa because it is a home game. then you have to consider what the new OC will bring to the table nobody will be able to predict, team will not be able to take the week off before game becauses of the changes on the Offensive and Defensive schemes.

yeah and it was a shootout of 44-41 on their home field to win, as for that 2 block fg attempte UNI got lucky that they got that 2nd chance. if one of two things have happened they never would have got that shot, 1, the ball goes past the line of scrimage. 2 if the Iowa player had just fallen on the ball rather than run from the ball, game over and its just a close hard fought gameand nobody remembers it, even though they went 7-6 they went 6-1 at home, Iowa plays much better at home, this years team looks nothing like last years team. JVB will be a 5th year player with ONE Full year of starting under his belt, a 5th year senior center that has started 3 plus year which is big deal with center to QB exchange, now insted of thinking about that all the time,its more automatic now, Iowa has a WR that publication are picking to be a 1st team All BT , but leave it to Iowa fans to doubt the kid, the OL has never been a issue since KF got it going, rather than rebuilding he just reloads, this offense will be more potent than last year, as for the defense the back 7 is solid, at this point all the DL will have to do is block and keep the OL from getting to the LB'rs and keep the play in front of them so the LB'rs can make the plays
