It will have to be self published. Assuming he can afford the paper.

Re: DJK book

According to him it be out this summer.

Awful lot of people questioning whether or not he has a publisher. The guy screwed up and is obviously resentful, but does anyone really think he is so stupid that he would be talking like he is without most of this already being in place?

I think good number of people are possibly being a little narrowed minded about that.

Anything that he says that could hurt the program can easily be discredited by the fact that he was a proven "coke head"! ...,they always tell the truth?

Re: DJK book

I've been told by friends he can provide/send it to Amazon...and they will/can send it to any person willing to pay for a copy.....let's say for $6.00 and DJK will get like $.50 @ time...but not sure if that's exactly how it works

Re: DJK book

There are lots of easy ways to publish books nowadays.  It used to be nearly impossible unless you were connected or caught a luck break

i believe the Amazon route is one of them.  One of my son's HS classmates published his own book.  It  hardly cost him anything to do.

I'm sure this is exactly how he is planning to do this.  He can say he has publishers etc backing him all he wants to inflate his perception but it is not a big feat to publish a book in todays world.

someone nailed it.  DJK saw the 30/30 on ESPN and got a wild hair that he could get some attention and maybe some sympathy.  Heck, Clarrett is back on the OSU campus all the time now

I really think this blew up on DJK in a way he didn't see coming.  that happens when you don't think things through, AND when you have a bull$hit story.

DJK and Clarrett's stories have virtually nothing in common. Sure, both were involved in drugs but MC's was post OSU when  spiraling out of control after NCAA fiasco.  DJK was disowned  due to drugs DURING his playing career.

big difference.  Of course, a thug won't see the difference....they only see an opportunity. What an idiot.

Clarrett never got arrested while playing for OSU. That doesn't mean he wasn't buying, using, and/or selling drugs while playing at OSU. It just means he didn't get caught.

The other, bigger, difference is that Clarrett had fame and attention. He was the Big Ten freshman of the year, played on a national championship team, and was a household name as a future NFL star. Even today, people remember Clarrett. Whereas nobody outside of Youngstown and Iowa knows who DJK is.

I've never seen any indication that MC was into drugs whatsoever while at OSU.

It was very apparent that his  downward spiral came as a result of the NCAA debacle. Not the other way around.

I looked at that and he is either mentally ill or he is a freakin moron.  What a pinhead. His last interview by a DM radio station was great, he took all the blame for what happened in IC and was thankful for the support he received but didn't actually deserve all the time.
Now he should just shut up and go away.

Re: DJK book

This guy is just pathetic.

Say what you want about KF's coaching ability, but as a role model and person, you don't get much better than KF. I'm saying with personal interaction and knowledge; from his disciplinary actions to his donations to the hospital.

Derrell (not 'DJK') is a boy, not a man. That's the underlying theme of his life and all of his failures. He can't even hold a food running job, it's no wonder NFL teams didn't think twice about not even talking with him.

He kind of reminds me of Montell Marion from years back, and that he only got in trouble because he was black. It was the white man's fault that he beat up a white kid with friends and got in trouble with the law. Only here, it's all KF.

You seriously believe that Maurice Clarrett had nothing to do with drugs until he was dismissed from the OSU football team.  And then he was so unlucky that the first time he used drugs, he got arrested?

It all started when he couldn't fly home to attend a friend's funeral...

One of Clarett's childhood friends, Juaquin Bell, was found shot to death Dec. 21 on the streets in Youngstown, Ohio. A Youngstown police spokesman said an investigation is ongoing and that drugs and money were found at the scene. Clarett was a standout tailback at Youngstown's Warren Harding High.

"He was a friend I knew my whole life," Clarett said

Despite lifelong friends like that, Clarrett never touched drugs?  How many people have sold you beachfront property?

Yes. He has demonstrated his stupidity repeatedly.

He's looking for attention, and has been rewarded with attention in the past for spouting off, not hard to figure.

Even going the self published route, he would need to sell about 70,000 books just to break even. Maybe I'm wrong but I think that would be a stretch.

Re: DJK book

DJK may be nuts... however a "tell all" book, no matter how fictional, would not be good for the program.  We do not need negative attention that could lead to character assassinations of staff, players or the program.  or lead to the ncaa sniffing around...

I think the paper he's buying is rolling paper, either for weed or for snorting coke.

It's summer...where's da book?

And where are the media and especially the website owners who gave DJK's twitter-rants and book braggings so much attention last year?  They couldn't wait to quote him then...how about a follow-up now asking him what happened with his book?

For $6, you wouldn't buy one? That he would have to claim the .50 on his income tax would be reason to do it alone.
