What an ass. We just got some wonderful news and people are already coming out with negative spins. It is funny, but sad. No....actually it is more on the funny side. What is sad is that some of the recruits and their family members actually read some of these forums.

Right on Kung. I do think he will stay firm on his committment. He has been recruited hard for the past couple years and he probably just wanted it to end. By the way, I don't drink dandelion tea.

No offense to the young man, but wake me up when Iowa gets their first 4 or 5 star WR, RB, CB, or DE out of Florida or the likes....until then, keep the Iowa/Minnesota plow boy excitement to a minimum.  It has grown tired....been there, done that.  Even during KF's best year, our lack of speed and athleticism got exposed against SC in the Orange Bowl.  That is reason #1 why I've been saying for 8 years now that KF peeked in 2002, and Iowa needs to be looking elsewhere for a head coach if they are truly serious about reaching the next level.  Iowa sure as hell are pays him like they are serious about the next level....too bad he treats non-conference games like NFL pre-season and continues to preach to the world how un-sexy little ol Iowa is.  He himself does more recruiting damage in his words and ultra conservative coaching philosophies, than any message board poster could.

My daughter said Kirk was at the CF basketball game (Ike and Ross both play).  Nice to see he is personally working the recruits to an extent.  I've had plenty of opportunity to watch these two play over the past couple of years, and I think they'll be great additions to the team.  Both SOLID commits not going anywhere but Iowa.

Only when they wear the black and gold and perform on the field to compensate for captain comfortable/careful, will I give them any thought.

Tell that to Florida, LSU, South Carolina, Missouri, and hell even Texas when Andy Brodell lit their secondary up.

While I do feel like KF has maybe one good run left in him, he certainly has performed below expectations. But to discredit the wins is just crazy.
