Why don't we use big TE near goal line????

Why don't we use big TE near goal line???? 

We have a TE that is 6' 7" with good hands and I have not seen us call a play to him when we are inside the 10 yard line.  Am I missing something????

this just baffles me why we dont use CJ more. He should be getting 8-10 throws per game. If he was playing for any other team I bet he would.

I think they try to use the TEs. I thought I saw them open on several occasions yesterday. JVB just didn't see them.

We had people open in the middle more than a few times yesterday. I think JVB has trouble seeing the middle of the field so he dumps the ball off a lot. Part of this is because he doesn't move up in the pocket or move around enough. Last year Marvin was bigger and he could see him coming in from the outside. He might have more success if our TE's were split out more or put in the slot which would also move more defenders out of the middle.

We don't use them because they normally don't run the one yard safety valve route!

Stop it! You are making too much sense now. Hell, I'd scheme with cjf, duzey, and Hamilton since we are so weak at the wide receiver position by using their big bodies on smaller cover defenders. Look at new England or PSU and how these use their tight ends. It is not that hard to create an offense around the strengths you have on your team.

CJF had a couple of catches Saturday.  Sadly, though, he goes down quite easily.  One guy - and a smaller DB at that - can tackle him solo.  When I told my wife how big he was, she called him a pansy for getting tackled so easily.

I know he had a few catches saturday for like 17 total yards, but with his size we need to get him some more looks, I agree he does go down fairly easy, and Vandy has not seen him open many times.
