Getting tired hearing "I was out coached"
I for one am getting tired of hearing Ferentz say "I was coached' he's been at Iowa 14 years and he says that? I think he wants to be bought out, he would make a cool $21 million. Thats not a lot of money to a college football program that brings in umteen million a year. Ferentz is still living in the past, the new football is passing him by. Its faster, better, more options, get with it Ferentz. He suppose to have said in the locker room at half "if you don't want to be hear then leave" maybe is was thinking that to himself.

RE: Getting tired hearing "I was out
Absolutely!!!!
And honestly I don't know that they are being out-coached... I wonder if he keeps saying that instead of saying that the players are being out-played???
If you do not give your lack-luster QB more than 3 seconds he cannot even throw the ball, much less look for anything other than his first option... And hows-about we wrap up better while tackling? KF doesn't throw blocks out there, nor does he tackle.
The players must hold themselves responsible for this part of the deal.

Getting outcoached by interim coaches, coaches about to be fired, coaches who take over for schools on sanctions.
It is ridiculous.

But the coaching staff are the ones teaching these skills. So....

I think it says alot when Kirks assistant coaches are not highly sought after. Every good coaching staff has assistants that leave programs for their own opportunities.

Especially when the head coach is primarily a position coach and has no clue about coordinating. This isn't Chip Kelly or Bill Snyder we have-

It looked like our coaching staff brought their checkers to a chess match.

In the REAL!!! business world if you don't do you job.... YOU'RE FIRED!!!! Just ask Donald Trump. Anyone making $4 million a year and can't do their job. Like being out coached by a wide receivers coach who was calling the offensive plays, and another coach who will be fired at the end of the year.
Restructure Ferentz contract so we can get rid of him next season after we go 5-7 or worse. It's not going to get better next season when we add Ohio St and Wisconsin.

It is ridiculous. True and sad, but pathetically funny.
Let's see what Rudock can do!

RE: Getting tired hearing "I was out
How do you restructure his contract? You pay him what you have legally promised to pay him, voluntarily, or if you refuse, you are directed to do so by the court system. If you've figured out a loophole around this one, your phone must be ringing off the hook with prospective new clients. MidwestHawk wrote: In the REAL!!! business world if you don't do you job.... Are the courts in this state hawkeye fans? If they are, im sure the judges and juries would back the school over KF in this one :P PostHaste wrote: How do you restructure his contract?
