Don't look for attendance to sag, as a barometer of the team's popularity. Iowa football is and has been the #1 sport in Iowa. People may not go...but they'll simply re-sell their tickets. Plenty of people who don't normally go to games that will pick em up.
By the time we see lots of empty seats... it's too late. The product will be significantly damaged.

i was there, it looked as packed as normal... maybe a few empties, but that doesn't mean that the tix weren't sold. They just chose to go Christmas shopping instead.

I was there as well in the season ticket section and was sitting next to 2 Purdue fans. So i wonder what the turnout will be for the Nebby game with fans selling out their seat backs for that one??

I was there also. Looked very full and the weather was fantastic. I guess if there is a silver lining, if I were a recruit, it demonstrates how loyal the Iowa fan base is to the team, regardless of their record or play on the field.

All tickets this season was sold out per early Sept. newspaper if I remember correct
