Fire Greg Davis

Fire Greg Davis

Promote Campbell to OC.

That frees up one spot on the coaching staff.

Then demote Kirk and make him the highest paid OL coach in the history of the game.

Then no buyout is required.

We hire a new Head Coach for upwards of $1m and we effectively get new leadership much cheaper than expected.

Plus would probably lead to KF's seeking a HC job elsewhere and agreeing to forego some of the remaining years of his salary.

Hope springs eternal.

From the call in show, Campbell is looking for a new job.

Re: Fire Greg Davis

davis was placed here as a patsy until boy-wonder takes over and becomes the OC.
THEN KF bows out and immediately releases a press statement saying that boy-wonder would make a great head coach at iowa.  barta, in between sexual harassment lawsuit litigations agrees with KF's assessment.  barta then signs boy-wonder to not so short contract......

in the end,  Greg Davis will be revered as the ONE who took the bullet.

God Bless Greg Davis, the poor old man who thought he was coming to place to become famous.........not infamous.

the end.

Davis and Campbell can both go! Neither are worth a dime.

Re: Fire Greg Davis

For about 10 or 11 games last season Marvin McNutt was the best receiver in Iowa football hx, and Eric Campbell had some input. And this surprises me: This group of receivers this year is the worst I have seen at Iowa, and yet he had a hx of developing Marvin McNutt. These receivers do not run good routes, and they drop the ball when it occasionally gets thrown to them. Add in Vandenberg who half the time or more is off-target, and what a recipe for disaster.

KF does not admit that the QB is a problem, so week after painful week, this problem does not get fixed, nothing new is tried, and it is like a tragic Shakespearean play.

There will be no player development at the QB position this year for next year.

It is difficult to believe that one coaches the QB to throw a 1 yard pass on 4th and 3 yards to go, but then we have watched the QB throw short like this all season. KF is right that we are the peanut gallery. I don't get it; we just don't understand what is going on; but nor does he.

Davis' contract is up at the end of the year, Campbell may very well be the next OC if he desires it.

Rumors last year stated he was not interested. Perhaps that has changed???

And two flea flickers does not save an OC... just sayin.

No kidding. Was at the game yesterday and I watch football but I actually called 4 offensive plays right before they snapped the ball. Just think what D cordinators are thinking if us as fans can do that.

Re: Fire Greg Davis

What has Campbell done to warrant consideration as an OC?! Recruiting? Player development? Not! We nead to step into the 21 century on the offensive side of the ball, a little creativity and a down the field passing mentality! Multiple formations and a hurry up offense, you know the stuff that kills our defense every week that we don't do! We need a young aggressive OC, not some 60 yr old who only knows one formation.
