Today's Uniforms

Dull.  Oregon get's creative and sexy with their choices to generate a little excitement.  Iowa just gets more boring.  I know its just a uniform, but the package makes a difference especially to recruits.  BTW, since when did we start wearing GRAY as a team color?

These uniforms are ridiculous.  Looking at it on TV, you can hardly tell if its purdue or Iowa.  DISLIKE the uniforms very much!

What's with the stupid looking uniforms? Is this supposed to be inspiring in some way? Who's brilliant idea was this? Hate to tell 'em, but it ain't the uniforms. Spend it on recruiting instead.

the uniforms are fine. Who wants Herk-wings back on the jerseys? NOT ME.
Keep the Bettendorf Bulldog recruiting chain going right on through Iowa City!!!

Dull and boring is what Iowa football is all about.  These uniforms are the perfect way to express this team's personality.

Actually, the uniforms are more exciting than the football team.

I don't understand why Nike didn't come up with something more exciting for Iowa. They have one of the best logos in the nation, you'd think they would just go ape crazy with it.

Edit: My bad, they were not Pro Combat Uniforms. Iowa designed today's uniforms.

Ferentz, in an attempt to get his entire family involved in the demise of Ipwa football, allowed his niece to design the uniforms.

Her qualifications....5th grade art class

Pretty sad when the commentators try to explain and justify why the Hawks dressed like a rag-tag prison squad. I don't blame em' though...How else can you explain it?!?

Fact is if you're going to honor the Vets, why not design camo uni's using the black and gold colors???

I totally agree, that did not look like the hawks today and if they are going to do something different then at least use our same color schemeohlord  The silver or gray or whatever it was did not work for me.

When did the school colors turn from Black and Gold to Gray and Silver? Ode to geriatrics?

Just speaking for myself, I do not like or care for any other uniform that our existing one, and just as it is.

My vote and I know they won't ask for it, but I say forget about throw-backs, combats, or anything else Nike can conjur up.

I don't mind trying something new and sexy once a year or so, but yesterday's outing was not it.

Lol, I was just joking about Ferentz making the program a family affair. I don't even know if Ferentz has a niece, let alone one in fifth grade. It was a joke involving a fictional character.

Get over your holier than thou self.

Re: Today's Uniforms

Yea, I heard that too.  Hilarious... do you think Oregon's uni's have ever been call throw-backs?  I love our normal uni's, but perfectly fine and think it would be fun to have one combat uni or throwback a year.  JUST ONE or the OTHER.

The american flag instead of the players names was the only good part.
