No answer in the article but it does lead to more questions.

Re: Jannah Tucker

I remember when she decommitted because someone told her that she was being lied to. Her father then said that it was all a big misunderstanding and that she would be a lady Vol. Well I guess it wasn't a misunderstanding after all.

Re: Jannah Tucker

So, since she is a Maryland gal, is it likely she may wind up there?

Re: Jannah Tucker

I don't think Maryland recruited her. They were never mentioned as one of her final schools.

Also, this brings UT down to just 10 scholarship players for next season. They had a player transfer out of the program last month and with Tucker not enrolling they can't afford any injuries.

Negative.

RE: Jannah Tucker

Keep in mind that Tucker, technically speaking, did not "decommit" in the sense of asking for a release from her NLI - which would allow her to enroll at another school. She told UT that she was not enrolling in school either this summer or in the fall. That leaves open the door for her to enroll later.

Of course, she has the option to ask for a release. It is not really clear what Tucker wants to do. Warlick doesn't seem to know.

This has gotten some publicity over here (TN, where I live).

On again. Off again. Round 2.

Like wallowing in quicksand...only thing I can make of the article referenced is that her enrollment is delayed. Not many top programs would want to deal with this continuing indecision.

I wish her the best. Did we recruit her? Would we be interested if she opens up her recruiting?

I'd love to have her but there just isn't room. Especially for another guard.

Re: Jannah Tucker

Not knowing her circumstances, I would pass if the opportunity presented itself. The commit, retract, re-commit, then re-re-tract are causes for concern; not to mention that her was-soon-to-be-coach has reportedly not been informed fully what impacts her most recent decision.

If the situation involved Mercedes I might entertain the thought, but short of her I say we let UT matters be. Taking a Pontius Pilatus on this would be appropriate.

Re: Jannah Tucker

Wonder what it would take to get Mercedes Russell to de-commit also? Tennessee down to 10 scholarship players.

RE: Jannah Tucker

I read that Virginia was on her final list along with West Virginia, Penn State and Villanova. Could be just a delay. There was no mention of her asking for a release. Of course it's none of my business, but it's kind of unnerving that she didn't tell Warlick why she isn't coming. Personal reasons is fine for a press release, but Warlick didn't say she was just respecting Tucker's privacy. She flat out said she has no idea why Tucker isn't coming. Is it wrong to think she at least owes Warlick an explanation?
