Decommits from Tennessee. Losing the #8 player is really gone hurt them.

Why? She ain't a guard for Carolina, she's Diamond's position.

Re: Jannah Tucker
I wonder what changed her mind. She initially chose them over (I think) Baylor, Dook and UCONN.
I feel bad for her as well because she, like Allisha Gray, will miss her senior season because she tore her ACL.
I wish I could read the meltdown going on at the Summit right now!

--------------------------------------------- I consider all perimeter players guards. 1,2,3 are guards. They just have different skill sets. But I was referring to the fact that we're limited on scholarships and guard isn't a position of need

Ms. Davis is a more important get, by far, for Rocky Top...

Re: Jannah Tucker
I wouldn't be hoping I'll be happy with the number 8 player in the country.

Re: Jannah Tucker
Just on the face of it would seem that Tenn is hoping to land Kaela Davis and Mercedes Russell. I dont know if or how this might of impacted JTs decommit but I would assume KD and JT play the same position.
More can be said of this later when more players committ to various teams and we can decide if this was related to the above.
I am not certain how JT injury affected her decision also. Anytime you lose a player of JTs ability it is not good.

Re: Jannah Tucker
It will be interesting to see what comes out of this but I bet some form of Social Media was involved. If she received bogus info I would really question where it came from and what the motives were. I am surprised her father was mentioning this btw.
There is some very deplorable activities going on out there. We saw it first hand after May 5th. Ultimately when results take precedent over conscience and ethics we have problems.
Just a side note there are recruiters out there that will do anything to make a sell. One tried and true test is when they need to talk negatively about other programs instead of extolling the benefits of their should be a red flag right away.

Re: Jannah Tucker
And amazingly some of the most negative recruiters on the block are some whose programs speak for themselves and they shouldn't need to do it.

Re: Jannah Tucker
The assumption is that most college coaches aren't blithering idiots and know what they're looking at and looking for. Well...

Some college coaches clearly focus on a player's rankins instead of on their own eyes when they look at a girl, furthermore, what do THEY need to get and remain succsessful and continue to win.

Re IH comment: it's human nature to not like to be second-guessed. If you pick a lower ranked recruit even with needs justification and you do not live up to expectations, you risk condemnation for the pick. Jest sayin'.

--------------------------------------------- I took no pleasure in their problems, rather I felt great sympathy and an effinity for Tenn until they restricted their thread to Prem. only. They were one of the most active threads and to take that action showed a lack of gumption and a circling the wagons mentality that is a disgrace to the legacy of the Tenn. program. For all their talk about Pat Summits legacy they disgrace it by their own actions. I can only hope that one of them reads this. I am almost tempted to buy a prem. just so I can tell them just what they have done.
