FWS Game 6 Live Analysis

FWS Game 6 Live Analysis

OK so I confess I got the 'aggregate scoring' for the series wrong.  That only comes in play if one team wins the first two games in the series.  So if the Blue team wins today they will clinch a 10 mile run for the White team.

Re: FWS Game 6 Live Analysis

Chaz Frank is up to his shenanigans early.  Gets on base, steals second on the first pitch.  Then advances to third to a sacrifice fly by Colin Moran to Skye Bolt in center for the first out.

DOUBLE STEAL and Frank scores the first run!!!!

Re: FWS Game 6 Live Analysis

A soft roller in the first/second gap scores another run.  Shane Taylor with a well placed ball.

Bases loaded as Moss walks Atwood.  Two outs bases loaded.  Moss is getting a visit by Forbes...

Re: FWS Game 6 Live Analysis

Moss strikes out Massardo and the ball squirts past Dunbar and Massardo and every runner advances.

Stubbs ends the inning with a fly ball out from Chaz Frank in foul territory in front of the White dugout.

Blue takes an early 4 run lead heading to the bottom of the first.

Will the White team jump on freshman Trent Thornton?

Will Moss regain composure and get some more innings or will there be an early call to the pen?

Re: FWS Game 6 Live Analysis

Thornton appears to get the butterflies out of the way with a walk then sets down the side.

Moss returns to the mound for White team in the top of the 2nd.

Going down for photos.

Did a run score on the fly out? If not it is not a sac fly.

Re: FWS Game 6 Live Analysis

The Blue team has steamrolled the White team so far today.  Nothing is going White's way except for a couple times that Colin Moran was robbed of a base hit.

So far the Blue team has 12 runs on 9 hits and the White team has committed 4 errors along with hit batsmen, walks, etc.

The Blue team has taken advantage of the White team on the bases additionally.

In the top of the sixth Blue leads 12 to 1.

The double steal happened after the fly out on the next batter.

One of the sloppiest games yet in the Fall World Series continues. Now the Ble team is getting in on the buy one get one free error promotion.

Heading to the top of the 7th. Blue 13 White 4.

Re: FWS Game 6 Live Analysis

Michael Lowry coming in relief - loads the bases with no outs for Holberton who serves up a single to left that Zengel misplays.  Another run scores and Chris Munnelly is coming to the plate.

Re: FWS Game 6 Live Analysis

Munnelly gets a sacrifice fly to left to score a run.  That is the white flag from the Blue team either letting off the gas or saying goodbye to them on their 10 mile run.

19 to 5 with one down with runners on first and second.

Re: FWS Game 6 Live Analysis

Nice play by Russell ranging deep to left center for the second out.

Line out ends the top of the 9th.

The White team looks to make up a 14 run deficit in the bottom of the 9th.

Re: FWS Game 6 Live Analysis

Flies out to left for the first out.  Luis Paula now pinch hitting.

Fly ball to left and Paula is the second out.

Mason McCullough now pinch hitting.

He fans a mighty Casey swing and the Fall World Series ends on a flat note with a 19 to 5 stinkfest with 7 errors.

The Blue team is sending the White team on a fun run...

RE: FWS Game 6 Live Analysis

Actually, they can... and have posted box scores. What Matt meant is they posted box scores for some, but not all of the games, which makes no sense to me. I would love to see not only box scores for all games, but the full stats from the FWS. They gave us individual category leaders for each team... why not give us all of the stats?

Perhaps goheels/NeuLion should consider hiring foxsportsnet/scout.com's webmaster. Just think of the potential synergies that could flow from that symbiotic relationship! With luck, they'd do the seamless rollout of the new, improved website the week prior to the regular season's first weekend series.
