CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- The annual Carolina baseball Fall World Series will be held Oct. 8-10, Oct. 12-14 with the championship game set for Oct. 16.

Action will begin Monday, Oct. 8 at 2:30 p.m. as the first of two three-game sets begins. The Tar Heels will play Tuesday and Wednesday before taking a day off prior to the second series.

The first pitch of the second series will be at 6 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 12 as the series will continue through the weekend before the championship contest on Tuesday, Oct. 16 at 2:15 p.m.

2012 FALL WORLD SERIES SCHEDULE
Series 1
Game 1 - Monday, Oct. 8 - 2:30 p.m.
Game 2 - Tuesday, Oct. 9 - 2:15 p.m.
Game 3 - Wednesday, Oct. 10 - 6 p.m.

Series 2
Game 1 - Friday, Oct. 12 - 6 p.m.
Game 2 - Saturday, Oct. 13 - 11 a.m.
Game 3 - Sunday, Oct. 14 - 1 p.m.

Championship Game - Tuesday, Oct. 16 - 2:15 p.m.

The teams will be drafted Wednesday, Oct. 3.

Remind me... are these games open to the public? I'll actually be visiting from the west coast and in town that week. Would LOVE to get to the Bosh and watch some ball!

Crap... I'll be at the beach for the 2nd series. Looks like the Wed night game will be the only one I get to see this year.

It is even worse for me...because of this stupid thing called work, a continuing education class on Wed and being at the beach over the weekend, I will not get to see any games. I wonder why they don't hold all week day games at 6:00.

Anybody else having this problem?

Port of the rationale for the game times is that a lot of the players have evening classes.  The baseball players have to take classes whenever they can in the Fall to make up for their spring limitations...

man i really wish that Oct 12 game that is scheduled to start at 6 would be moved forward so i could catch that and then LNWR! wishing! lol

I am planning to attend the series 2 games. The times for the games are great a Friday evening game and a late morning game on Sat. It is great to be back at the Bosh. Hope we have a good turn-out for these games.
