The Diamond Heels are decked out in their familiar Navy and Carolina Blue tops tonight from overcast Boshamer Stadium.The field is ready to go and both squads are warming up.Starting lineups just in.The Navy team won the first series in a run away victory. Can the Blue team redeem themselves and force a one game wild card for the 15 mile run?

Moss starts off where he left off with swing and a miss with Adam Pate. Pate grounds out to Russell for the first out. Moss ranges up to 92 mph against Lassiter for strike two taken. Lassiter strikes out looking on a 91 mph dart on the inside corner for the second out.Joe Dudek heads to the plate for the Blue team. Moss working carefully missing outside for ball two. Moss touches 93 mph on ball 3. Then puts a 90 mph fastball on the outside corner. Blows a 91 mph low fastball past Dudek's swing. 93 mph heater fouled back. Infield and outfield deep. Full count. Dudek drops a single to left center.Adrian Chacon heads to the plate to face Moss with two down and Dudek on first. Dudek has stolen a base already this FWS so has some speed to go with his size. Medium lead with a shuffling secondary lead.Zengel takes a pair of strikes before fouling off a 92 mph heater. Moss thought he got him on a 93 mph fastball outside but home plate umpire doesn't punch him.
We have a brief break in the action as home plate umpire is attended to off a foul ball that must have hit him from Zengel. 2-2 count with two down and Moss gets a toss on the mound.Zengel steps in, Moss delivers a 91 mph heater inside, so close. Full count. Zengel punches out on a change from Moss.Navy leads 2-0 and Thornton heads back out hoping to keep this one close tonight as Moss is picking up where he left off last Friday.So odd - no bat kids tonight.

Russell leads off with a single to left off of Thornton. Bolt heads to the plate. Singles to right putting runners on the corners with no outs.NICE GRAB! Raburn snares a liner from Korey Dunbar for the first out. It was so hard hit and such a liner that both runners were able to retreat to the respective bags.Towering fly ball from Whiteford handled by Lassiter for the second out.
Rubino heads back up with runners on second and third with two outs. Thornton gets ahead then tries to get Rubino to chase a ball outside the zone. Rubino holds off on the 92 mph pitch for ball one.Chacon out to chat with Thornton on the 1-2 count. Grounder hit sharply to Lassiter who throws to first a bit off line but Dudek handles it cleanly and gets back to the bag for the third out.Navy 2 Blue 0 heading to the bottom of the third.

The Navy team leads 4-3 at the stretch. Chris McCue entered the game in relief of Moss, while Bogucki come into the game on the bump for the Blue team.Tom Zengel strikes out for the second out. Alex Raburn heads to the plate. Ground out to Russell to end the frame.Kent Emanuel is here in the stands keeping an eye on the program this evening. The Navy team leads 4-3 heading to the top of the 8th.

Bogucki working in the top of the 8th. The Navy team puts two runners on.Bogucki spins to second and throws into center as no one was covering. Howver the runners could not advance.
Strike 'em out throw 'em out pick off at first to end the inning.Navy is unable to pad their lead and the game is 4-3 heading to the bottom of the 8th.
