Mike Fox is the absolute best coach on campus.
Not even in doubt

He is a great coach, but Anson Dorrance says hello. --------------------------------------------- --- dollarnight wrote:

not to mention the fact that Roy's two National Championships trumps anything Fox has done.
Dorrance is far and away the best coach on campus.

Um... no. When is the last time UNC missed the NCAA tourney in baseball? It was just three short years ago for hoops, and might happen again this year.

RE: Perfect Game says....
This shouldn't become a pissing match on who is the greatest coach. Carolina is fortunate to have some of the best and hardest working coaches in the country on our sidelines. They all have enjoyed great success so instead of trying to rank them just be thankful for what we have. (And regardless of what happened in '09 or this year, Roy still is a great coach who will continue to do great things here)

Agree!! How lucky are we to have Mike Fox, Roy Williams, Anson Dorrance and Karen Shelton.
I doubt very seriously there are any other schools that could put 4 coaches to match ours.

I also agree, and hopefully we can add Fedora's name to that list in a few years. I just get tired of all the fawning over Roy on the basketball board, and over-reacted when I saw it here.

Let's not forget Coach Hatchell and her 900 victories and national championship of her own.

I don't think you want to go there with some of the people here... including me! Let's just say she has won a lot of games and leave it at that.

Fair enough, my apologies, not trying to get anyone riled up. I'm just fine with mentioning the other four! --------------------------------------------- --- UNC76 wrote:

RE: Perfect Game says....
I personally think Mike Fox is better than Roy, but Roy is more accomplished. And UNC was dangerously close to missing the NCAAT in baseball in 2010.

I am constantly amazed at the level our fans will pick the nits of our own players, coaches and fellow fans.
