Jason Steinberg Assistant Director in the UNC ticket office replied today, "We have not set an exact date quite yet. Individual games will probably go on sale to the public first week in February."

Just come on over as often as you can, tickets will be available at the Ticket Office there.

Yep, and for mid-week games, you can sit pretty much wherever you want. This year, all mid-week games after March 6th start at 6 pm.
In fact, looking at the home schedule, only the games against Seton Hall on Friday, 2/15, Stony Brook on Friday, 2/22, St John's on Tuesday, 2/26 and Davidson on Wednesday, 3/6 start in the afternoon on a weekday... add in moving most of the Saturday games to 6 pm, and the schedule is much more fan-friendly this year.
