The more I think about this class, the more I think UNC has a great shot to make some HUGE headlines. It's still ridiculously early in the process, but Fedora and his staff have made inroads with some big name guys like Blanding and Hand, and have already gotten great commitments from two guys in Battle and Dinkins, the latter of whom I think could wind up being a top 10 recruit in the state of NC.
If UNC closes the 2012 season strong, and has a terrific 2013 NSD as I think they are capable of (i.e. closing with North, Crowder, and Mizzell), then all of a sudden Fedora has a boatload of momentum going into the 2014 recruiting season with some big fish already nibbling.

Aren't we recruiting him for LB and not RB? I know this doesn't mean he can't play both ways. Just wanted to be clear about the position we were recruiting him for.

On our board is shows we are recruiting him at tail back. i would hope that with a recruit ranked as high as Hood we are recruiting him to whatever he wants to play.
I would be surprised if we or anyone else could land the #13 ranked running back to play LB.

On our 2014 recruiting board he is listed with the LB's. The recruiting board is usually the most updated source you can look at. I also just read an inside article on him and he stated he would rather play LB in college but would not be opposed to go either way.

Yea, I thought it was for LB and he would be a force either way. I mean he has the speed for RB and the body for LB.

I asked the question about Hood RB\LB. I was told he was running back and played little D. Has anyone seen him play? All highlights are always on th offensive side.

It looks like we have taken several guys off the 2014 recruiting board. I don't know why they were taken off unless they no longer have commit-able offers and are back up plans. Maybe our coaching staff is starting to focus in on the guys they really want since we have limited scholarships available. Might just be something has messed up with the recruiting board I don't know.

People who have seen him play in person say while he looks to have all the physical tools, mentally, he loses it in game situations. Just worked on this kids grandads home in and both grandparents went to UNC and are huge UNC fans along with the family from his grandad he said itll come down to florida and UNC and playing time! The kid is one heck of a ball player tho.
