I wouldn't hold my breath on Tim Harris. He is pretty set on UVA as far as I can tell. UNC DB commit Korrin Wiggins reopens recruitment The Hillside High School football recruiting well, among the deepest in the state, is developing as many storylines as it is major college prospects this winter. Senior defensive back Korrin Wiggins, who gave a verbal commitment to North Carolina on national signing day in February, remains “committed” to the Tar Heels — at least for now. (Durham Herald-Sun)

Clemson gets chance with UNC DB commit Korrin Wiggins this weekend Shrine Bowl DB Korrin Wiggins of Durham, NC is a North Carolina commitment but is also considering Clemson and Ohio State. He has visited Ohio State, will visit Clemson this weekend and will go to North Carolina next weekend. "He's wanting to see what every one has so he can compare," said Hillside High coach Antonio King. (Palmetto Sports)

There were some very nice things said in regards to Fedora's Recruiting on "The New College Football Show Class of 2013," tonight on FSN or FS Carolinas whichever it was. It was stated that "Fedora is one of the best Recruiters in the Nation and now that he is in Chapel Hill and at Carolina he will be able to show it!!!!!!"

Re: 2013 Recruiting Updates
Just saw that Dee Liner decommitted from Auburn. Obviously he isn't on the radar, but I wanted to mention it since Carl Lawson is still committed to Auburn. Could be a sign that Lawson will also go elsewhere.
I also just read that conflicting articles having Lawson at Auburn on Jan. 25 or UNC on the 25th. We'll see. Fedora is visiting him in home tomorrow. Sounds like Lawson is interested in the quality of the education that UNC has.

Maybe we can make a late move on Liner since we are needing another DL pretty bad.

Yeah, this late in the game it's tough to make up a lot of ground. He'll probably go to a school that was recruiting him hard before he committed to Auburn that he's familiar with.

Lawson is visiting Auburn on the 25th, according to his father, who said it in an interview following his son's Clemson visit this past weekend. There may be a midweek visit to UNC. However, the dad said the SEC schools had the advantage. www.ajc.com/weblogs/college-re...de-carl-lawson/--------------------------------------------- --- theells1 wrote: Just saw that Dee Liner decommitted from Auburn. 4 star OT Austin Golson is now on the recruiting board with 2 helmets. I thought after we got Henson we were done with OL but I can't see us turning Golson away if he wanted to commit.

I would assume that if Howard bolts, that gives us room to take BOTH North and Alston, which seems to me to be an upgrade. Anyone know anything otherwise?

^ I dont think Alston will be an upgrade over Howard, we need to hold on to him. However I think Alston could take Wiggins spot and we wouldnt have lost anything if Wiggins decommits.

Well, this is the weekend. This is the weekend where all the big names will be in Chapel Hill with all the commitments, and we'll see who decides to be a part of what Fedora and his staff are building at Carolina and who isn't interested.
I'm hoping for a snap commitment at some point this weekend.

Based on what I've heard, most if not all of the current commitments will be in Chapel Hill. North will be there barring unforeseen circumstances with his father. I believe Jarran Reed will be there as well.
Beyond that, I'm pretty sure that's premium stuff, but those are the names that I think have leaked.

Jarran Reed, Marquez North visiting Tar Heels North Carolina is expecting to welcome a nice group of official visitors this weekend as it tries to wrap up its 2013 recruiting class. The Tar Heels are hosting two prospects whom they hope to convince to play their college football in Chapel Hill. Jarran Reed, a four-star JUCO defensive tackle from East Mississippi Community College, is a current Ole Miss commit, but he will be on campus, as will MarQuez North, an uncommitted four-star wide receiver from Charlotte, N.C., Mallard Creek High School.
