2013 Uni Watch: Yes here we go..........
I know everybody and their Mom hates Uni threads on this board but I gotta do it. I see rumors of "Blackouts", "White-Out part II", "Chrome Dome II", etc. Does anybody know what's going on for next season. I know Fedora had the chance to order unis for 2013-2014. I personally loved the choices he made last year, but I'd love to see the "chrome dome" again with the interlock with Carolina Blue Jersey and maybe Navy pants. I love the State game unis, intimidating if you ask me. What's y'all's take or whatcha know?

I personaly would love to see a black out with a black trimed in carolina blue uni. Not sure how some people would like it but I think under the lights it would look sweat!

Black would be...interesting. Certainly untraditional, which would likely mean a revolt in certain parts of the fan base.
I'm just ready to get rid of the "squirt" down the pant leg; not the best look.

no black. too state-ish and dookish. navy is an accent color for us. go navy, it's dark enough. too many other schools go black. in honesty, as long as they change the stupid stripe on the pants i don't care what color.

This "mom" loves uni threads - I have never met a Carolina football player in a uni that I didn't like (with the exception of a few in 2010). Ha!

I'll need to see the uniform before I make my final judgement, but if they do go this route I'm glad they chose the small horizontal argyle stripe on the back rather then the vertical center stripe.
I am cautiously optimistic though

More than likely it's just going to be for the Miami game on ESPN. It will be alright. Not to mention, Wake IS black and gold. I really hope we don't go down the road with the rest of our in-state ACC competition. Would be nice to remain unique.

I don’t love the black helmets, but I like incorporating the argyle. I’m not altogether against black uni’s, but the helmets above weren’t nearly as great as the chrome helmets. I don’t really care in the end; I understand I’m not the target audience. If 18 year old kids love them and it makes Carolina a more attractive place to play football, go for it.

I'm 50, been a Carolina fan since I was a kid, love tradition more then the next guy, but I love the changes. As long as there is Carolina Blue on the uniform, who cares? The kids love it, the students love it. I'm in!! This is football. Even the BB team switches it up. Let them have the more traditional look. It has worked for their winning %...not so much for FB. So why the heck not?
I LOVE what Fedora is bringing to this program. I thought I liked Butch, but if you believe in God or a higher power, the right person has been provided for the Heels!! I see great things for Carolina football!

not sure about the horizontal argyle. Seems out of place there. Could the foot be 2/3's the size it is now?
Watch out. Fed loves his matte black with a million variations using stickers. One just might a throw back cascading "UNC".

I am pretty willing to "mix things up", loved the chrome last year, but please, no black. Thats what dook and STupid do. We can use navy, a secondary color, which is plenty dark and looks better than black. And while we are at it, maybe Carolina Blue every now and then, for old times sake ?
