As some of have tried to point out before, the ACC TV contract so many people call "pathetic" is misportrayed a LOT these days. We see out base number from last year ($13.1M per school) compared to the B10's total average dispersal of $23M per school in some articles.
Now for some numbers: last years ACC dispersal averaged $17M per school. Makes it sound a little closer, right?. Now another number: roughly $4M for adding Pitt and the Cuse and another $2M for adding ND and UL. That adds up to $19.1M for TV alone.
Surprise surprise...ESPN finally put out a solid estimate to compare to other Conferences. It's buried in the article lnked but it's there. And remember it's for TV alone.
The After The Dust Settles new number is now magically $19.1M per school for TV alone. And we should still get around an extra $4M per school per year from NCAA Bowl and Tourney revenue as well. That drives the otal expected payouts to around $23M per year.
I will remind some of us that this number is not based on "best case projections" for Conference Network monies like the numbers Maryland swallowed, but on signed contracts.
