Where is Marquis Williams and what is his status??????
I sure hate to see him get lost to our program....Does he have problems with competing?....He certainly has a lot of potential, and I loved his passing motion.....

Really hope this kid makes it back to campus. He's a talented player who would be a great, experienced backup to Renner this year in that EJ Manuel-type role.

Please come forward without concrete info on this top QB out of the state of NC.....I would hate to lose him....I believe he can beat out Coker and Trubisky, but he will have to be at his best...

I live in Charlotte. My younger brother plays for Mallard Creek. Played varsity this year as a sophomore. He talks to North every day. Just told me nobody should be shocked if "Quise" ends up at Tennessee. I hope it's not true but one thing to consider Bush Jones likes athletic qbs. He would fit he's system

Dude, nobody on a message board determines anyone's PT, if Q is influenced by message boards as to his PT then he doesn't have the mental toughness to be a QB. That said I hope he comes back and battles.

Man, we aren't a babysitting University. Quise knew what he had to do in order to stay eligible to play and he knew he had to compete. His job is won on the field and not on this board of opinions.

i haven't seen one quote from the staff that suggest that Coker was ahead Williams, don't know where it came but its pretty much the consensus on this board. get mad at me for saying it but all those that wanted Coker best hope he can play, and soon. i know this board doesn't determine playing time or influence the staff but it IS the voice of the fans and maybe he or someone that helps him make decisions don't like what they're hearing. maybe Williams or whoever didn't like how little he was used (i'm with that one myself). who knows whats going on but think about this everyone was wondering why North would choose UT and not know who was going to be throwing to him.. maybe he already knew. be glad we held on to Walker might be the last from Mallard Creek. and please don't give me that he should be mentally tough and battle who wants to play for fans that want someone else playing (i wouldn't). i hope the young man succeeds wherever he plays i just don't think its going to be UNC.

i saw maybe ONE quote praising Coker for coming along well in the system and that was spun into and ran with that Coker had surpassed Williams. we gave MooU hell for losing Wilson hope the same isn't coming our way.

However, it's only logical to me that if Coker was challenging Williams for the QB2 spot with only days of being in the offense last year during summer camp(despite Williams having two springs and an entire season as a backup) that he not only could have surpassed him on the depth chart, but probably did. its not a going against what anybody says so don't try to turn it into that i respect Mac and what he does for this board with the depth chart but hes not always right and if he was Morris would be a db or an a-back not our potential starting rb,(sorry Mac) was just my opinion on the matter and how i feel. and actually i don't have premium this month my 3 month subscription ran out and after signing day not much news to be heard til spring ball. hopefully this is just another "the sky is falling" moment (there are many as you know) for the board and he returns. not the feeling i'm getting though. one thing for sure is we will eventually see.

Cornbread you are one the MANY that have perpetutated (sp) this whole Coker over Williams situation by trying to read too much into quotes. i myself think hes gone. similar to the EJ Manuel and his backup this year, some FSU fans wanted the backup (as silly as that may seem) and when he did play it was obvious he didn't have the measurables or the talent of EJ. M.Williams is a Roy Williams type talent real smart move by you all.

and in fairness to Mac i think he gets bored with placing everyone on depth chart where they should be and gets a little creative for conversations sake. i disagreed with Morris bein moved from rb and i'll go out on a limb and say Boston will be our SS not the Ram.

Excuse me, but YOU were the first one to mention the depth chart on this thread. But yes, perhaps I am a little too vocal on this opinion I have on the matter. I honestly haven't even thought of the depth chart except for this discussion on this thread for several weeks (maybe even months).
We aren't going to know for sure until UNC releases a depth chart and Quise obviously isn't going to be on the one in the Spring and if he's not on the one in the summer (if he's still around), there will be interpretation that needs to be made of that bit of info.
