Good luck and best wishes to him. He beat cancer and came back to coach later in his career after his days at UNC.

Absolutely best wishes to coach in his retirement. He was a first year head coach in my freshman year and it was obvious right away Dick Baddour had made the first of his many royally dumb decisions. I don't blame coach one bit though, who wouldn't take the opportunity to be in the head chair if offered? It was one step too far for him, but I don't blame Torbush at all.

Baddour was just a very poor decision maker when it came to the 2 big sport hiring decisions. And don't give me he got Roy to come back and he got Butch. He was not the point person on either of those. Dean got Roy and some BOT guys and influential Rams Club members got Butch. I am so thankful we now have a truly solid (and I think could be great) AD. We will need it in 6-10 years when Roy retires, although it's possible Hubert is coach in waiting. We'll just have to see if he takes to coaching.

I thought this was about Torbush retiring - not about Baddour. Give it a rest.
