West Joins Staff as Co-DC, LB Coach
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - North Carolina head coach Larry Fedora has hired Ron West as the Tar Heels’ co-defensive coordinator and linebackers coach. northcarolina.scout.com/2/1266858.html

So we have an "associate head coach for defense" and two DC's? Who is ultimately responsible for the defense? Koening? Disch? West?
Don't say Fed, I recognize he's the HC and it falls in his lap.

Let me get this straight..... We now have a Co-co DC. Strange, but if it makes our defense better I'm OK with it.

No, we have an Associate Head Coach of Defense and co-defensive coordinators.

Personnel management in a government setting!! You sometimes have to get creative with job titles in order to get the pay where you need it to be.

He was Co-DC at Arizona State so he's just holding onto that title as best he can. As its been said many times before these guys all know this defense. Game plans are not the result of a single coach anyway. Duggan had plenty of time as DC in his career too.
