Realistic Dream Class for 2014

Realistic Dream Class for 2014

I understand the title is a bit of an oxymoron haha but what guys would you like to see Fedora land that the Heels actually are in the running for.

QB-Jalen McClendon OR Travon McMillian (McMillian is the higher rated of the 2 but I wouldn't be too upset landing the in-state kid)
RB-Elijah Hood(May be one of the biggest recruits in the class as he'll be one of the highest ranked NC kids)
WR-Jaylan Barbour, Jamil Kamara, Shaq Davidson (Davidson's a long shot but we are in his top 4)
TE-Avery Edwards
OT-Bently Span
OG- Donnell Stanley (Admittedly a very long shot)
DE-Robert Dinkins, Lorenzo Featherston
Bandit-Jacob Pugh
DT-Andrew Brown
LB-Christian Russell (This name should look familiar, probably a long shot as far as qualifying but I'd like to see him get the opportunity)
CB-Tajze Battle, Jonathon Lloyd, Troy Vincent Jr.
S-Quin Blanding(May be a bit of a long shot but we are in his top 3 and another crappy season by UVA could make it top 2)

Obviously another case of quality over quantity with a class of only 17, maybe Summers or Taylor could get another shot but that's doubtful. This would be a very good class, a couple guys who are either 5* or high 4* and several 4*. I would say that Stanley is the only unrealistic name, Russell maybe as far as grades but linebacker isn't really a need anyway. Davidson is doubtful but with Fed's offense and Brewer's track record you never know. I wouldn't be surprised if at least half these guys end up Heels.

It sucks that the Heels chances at Trevion Thompson, Derrell Scott, and Chris Register are so slim it would be unrealistic to even include them in this list.

Re: Realistic Dream Class for 2014

As of right now I would say:

QB- Deshone Kizer
RB- Hood or Scott
WR- Jaylan Barbour, Trevion Thompson, Jamil Kamara
TE- Avery Edwards
OT- Trip Mcneil
OG- Donnell Stanley
DE- Robert Dinkins, Jacob Pough, Chris Register
DT- Andrew Brown, Ricky Walker
LB- Coult Culler, Ty Tomlin
CB- Battle, Jonathon Lloyd
S- Quin Blanding, Germaine Pratt
K- Freeman Jones

Would also like to see Christian Russell get another shot at UNC. I think he could be an interesting option at Bandit. 6'1" 263 lbs 4.5 forty.

Re: Realistic Dream Class for 2014

QB - Drew Barker
RB - Elijah Hood
WR - Barbour, Thompson, Berrios (A-BACK)
OT - Spain, Moss
DE - Dinkins, Hand, Thomas, Register
DT - Brown, Clark, Moten
LB - Clark, Evans, Miller
S - Blanding
CB - Battle, Ruffin

That's 20. I think that works.

Re: Realistic Dream Class for 2014

UNC needs to stop the talent bleed to SEC and out-of-state schools.
There is too many talented Tar Heels leaving.
If others schools are cheating ($, jobs, housing, etc.), then the players are trouble and should go elsewhere.
I'm sure Coach Fedora & the Staff will get their choices once the wins start rolling in.
Can't wait till we are there!

Man, if we could get 9 to 10 wins this season, I really think all those combinations are real. I think we could even get at the minimum five 5* players. With that amount of victories, we would be in a pretty decent bowl game and some national attention to go along with it.

Haven't seen Knox play yet. I have seen that Tabb has skills. Do you know if Knox does?! Any top TE should want to play in this system.

You do know we had a TE transfer right?! We're short now with only 3. Maybe they move
Mark McNeil to TE?

Re: Realistic Dream Class for 2014

Yes I know about Fitzpatrick!!! This may be ONLY MY BELIEF, but we had so much talent at TE when Fedora arrived, and was lacking some at WR, that there wasn't much choice except to make Ebron and Tabb big parts of the Offense!!! I believe once Ebron and Tabb are gone we will see the Offense not use TEs as much as Receivers, but moreso for blocking purposes, again that is only my belief!!!!!!

If we have a solid DE haul then I think we should/will consider moving Bart to TE

Fedora has always used his TEs. Wasn't he at Okie St when they had those beast TE's?

We got to get Scott. Dude is unreal. I can't imagine how anyone could stop an offense with Scott and Logan in it

The defense is what's most important. Fedora's system will get 30 pts with some of us running it. lol

With that being said I'm shocked no one has said Lorenzo Featherston. He's supposed to be one of the top in-state guys at a huge position of need. Unfortunately 247 has him favoring State.

Shaq Davidson is from Gaffney (S.C) same school as Quinshad Davis. I would be shocked if he doesn't go SEC

Lot has to do with what we on on field in 2013. Always has a huge impact on 17 yr olds.

There are always a few who dont care that much cause they see bigger picture (academics etc), but many want to also see W's.
