if not for his reluctance to attend all the combines and do all the interviews with national recruiting services....tj logan wouldve been a 5 star recruit no doubt....his demeanor is eerily similar to gio as in the humbleness....we got a good one guys....we really need to enjoy the ride the next 3 years

^ i agree. If TJ had an ego like a lot of these recruits do, he would be a top 5 to 10 running back in the nation. I for one can't wait to watch him play. He and Switzer are he guys I'm most looking forward to seeing in Kenan on Saturdays

Just what I was thinking. Such a classy move by TJ must have been heavily influenced by his parents.

Really liked Walt Bell's comment about Logan.

Logan sounds like a great kid, we already know he's a great football talent. The article as a whole makes you think this program is really going to evolve into something special in a hurry as college football programs go. Fedora walked into somewhat of a mess and had no problem asking where a mop was. This staff seems to be doing it the right way, in a very intense, thorough manner. Can't ask for more than that.

One of my reasons to love Carolina sports is the people we recruit that just happen to be incredible athletes. TJ sounds like a young man of great character like Gio and Barnes and it almost always comes down to at least one great parent.

I agree, I would love to meet some of these parents and spend some time just hanging out with them.

We are going to love TJ. There are lots of great athletes around the country, but not that many great humble athletes. He will be refreshing.

For as much as we'll miss Gio, many believe that you can thank Gio leaving for us getting TJ Logan. You'll never know what his mindset was, but I think TJ has potential to be the man. Lots of big name programs were coming after him late down the stretch and he stuck with us. I hope Logan and UNC can both reap benefits from each other.

That must have been about the time he came up with "quality over quantity" statement. Wow, if this doesn't get you amped up.... Spring Game is when....?

Logan does sound amazing but by all accounts Kris Francis is the real deal too. UNC is going to have quite a backfield with Blue, Morris, Logan, and Francis.

That is good to see. on a side note - a lot of people who don't really keep up with recruiting on a national scale here in Ohio are stunned that a kid like Trubisky ends up at - "CAROLINA?" People are comparing it to when Desmond Howard ended up at Michigan. "You just can't let talent like that leave the state (the Ohio State)". If I don't make it to Chapel Hill this fall, I will at least get to see them at Pittsburgh. Last time I saw Carolina play at Pitt, it was Dante Calabria's homecoming game. :)

As it was with Logan and the rest of the signing class. Fedora was stunned a couple of months ago to receive in the mail a hand-written "thank-you" note from Logan, expressing his gratitude for being given a scholarship offer.

"In 26 years in this business I've never gotten a 'thank-you' note from a kid," Fedora says. "It was so meticulously written and neat that I had to go ask Kap, 'Is this for real?' He assured me it was. I was very impressed. Like I said, this group has the right values, the will to succeed. T.J.'s a great example of that."
