I have often thought that conference realignment would be the major shift in college sports, but this lawsuit may be even bigger as it plays out.

Perhaps there will be some kind of middle ground reached, such as no TV or ticket money for the students, but they can get a cut of the revenue from jerseys, video games and the like. I've always thought any 18 year old should be able to sign with an agent at any time, and receive advances on future income from that agent. That way the athletes with true potential can get some income while in school and focus on their education, but the schools don't have to pay money across the board to all their athletes.
