Fedora on David Glenn Show
So Fedora was on the DG show earlier today talking about the signing dayclass and he made mention we only had 19 scholarships to issue this year (we lost one due to that Roy Smith issue). So it looks like we're signing 17 this year. Since we're holding back 5 per year due to NCAA reductions, does this mean we can add 3 to next year's class and sign 23 players instead of 20?

No, we can only take 20 per year, regardless of how many we take in the previous year.

No, but we can oversign by 2 and have them early enroll and count towards 2013.

So you're saying we have a max? I thought the reduction was 15 over a three year period and not 5 a year for 3 years.

pretty sure it is exactly 5 per year over 3 years. We'll sign 22 next year and count 2 early enrollees toward the 2013 class. That is, if someone else doesn't shake lose in our favor between now and August.

20 max for 3 years and 80 total for the whole team for 3 years. We have one more year of this sh*&^%t and we will be free.

I imagine at least 2 Walk-Ons will get schollies, although we may only be able to take 17 since IC's Recruiting Board is showing we are 2 over the 80 limit for 2013.
