Dad gum, Clemson and FSU are cleaning up today. Both schools ...

are pulling away from the rest of us in the ACC. It's going to be tough to catch up.

I must be clueless. Bridge? Troll? OK, I don't get it but ...

if someone would be so kind as to explain I would appreciate it.

Re: Dad gum, Clemson and FSU are cleaning up today. Both schools

Well it looks like we have a pretty good class, we have 4 parade All Americans, lot's 4 stars on ESPN. Obviously we couldn't sign a lot more players. I am very happy we didn't have any other switches. Why didn't Wiggins go ahead and decide earlier so we might have found a replacement?

Re: Dad gum, Clemson and FSU are cleaning up today. Both schools

I think UNC did a really good job. We will easily have the #4 class (behind FSU, Clemson, VT). That's fairly impressive considering the poor quality of UNC football for the past 15 years.

Not to mention that Dabo and Jimbo couldn't coach their way out of a paper bag.

Carolina has a solid class. I think that Fedora did ...

extremely well under the circumstances. He needs to win more games in 2013 and if he cannot close the borders of our state he will be in trouble long term. He has to get Clemson, Florida, Tennessee, etc. out of The Old North State.

They do less with more, but Dabo says Clemson is on the verge of being elite, and they play an SEC schedule.

As long as UNC can get its picks of the top 25 (meaning most of the top 10-15), there is no issue with other schools coming in and getting a few. The idea is to keep the best, quality over quantity.

Would you care to elaborate as to how Dabo Swinney can't coach?

Year 1: 9-3 Atlantic Division champions

year 2: 6-7 Bad season

year 3: 10-3 Atlantic Division champions, ACC champions, beat three top 25 teams in a row. Beat top 10 Va Tech twice.

year 4: 11-2 Atlantic Divison co-champions(lost on a tie-breaker) Only two losses were to two teams that stayed in the top ten all year. Beat #8 LSU in bowl game.

The only bad spots are his consecutive losses to South Carolina and the Orange bowl snowball game. People seem to like to belittle him because he has a funny name and jumps around and yells on the sidelines.I get it that he is a CEO type coach but a lot of coaches rely on their coordinators.

Good luck to the UNC football team next season. Looks like ya'll got a good class coming in this year. Wish we played ya'll more often.

I would much rather see CU win the Atlantic or ACC over FSU. Dabo is a doing hell of a job. We can see that over here. Lot's of winning coaches have won through the CEO model...Bowden Sr. and Mack Brown come to mind.

I wish we played more often Bluesky. Very good ACC rival game thats gone by the wayside lately. I like what Fedora is doing there. That HUNH offense is fun to watch isn't it? I think it would be awesome to meet ya'll in Charlotte for the championship. That place would be rocking!

Re: Dad gum, Clemson and FSU are cleaning up today. Both schools

You're mistaken. Sure Clemson has had some very talented players, but it's been mostly skill positions. The OL/DL have been lacking talent for years. The defensive backfield has been pretty lacking as well. The talent level is nowhere near as high as you think it's been.

Yeah, that is silly. However, I do have questions about Dabo because he posted that losing season, received one of the worst beatdowns in bowl history AND (most importantly) appears to have lost the state of SC to Spurrier.

Clemson was on a roll until they signed the Wiggins kid. Brought their star ranking down.

South Carolina is enjoying the most success they have ever had. Tip your hat to them, but nothing stays the same forever.....and Clemson will be really good in the next couple of years. I'll like chances vs. ***** going forward.....especially with what Tigers have on both lines of scrimmage.

Re: Dad gum, Clemson and FSU are cleaning up today. Both schools

Dabo is doing a great job there. Much better than I expected when he got hired. But my take is that's good for us. TE more quality head coaches in the ACC the better the conference which means the higher we have to rise to win the conference which leads to more national respect which leads to better bowl games and better recruits. It's all related.

Florida St. has signed 22 recruits and Clumpson has signed 23 recruits to our 17 and Clumpson is only 4 spots ahead of us. (per ESPN) Scout has Florida St. with an avg. * rating of 3.41, Clumpson has a 3.32 avg. and UNC has a 3.24. I'm not going to hang my head about any of those numbers!!! I definetly don't see that as anyone cleaning up.

I assume he's referring to Clem and FSU have 5 to 6 more quality additions to their teams relative to UNC.

Have not heard anything about Clemson nor FSU cheating. It is ..

probably a little hypocritical for us to be throwing those $$$ signs around about other schools now. We have a solid class if not excellent under the circumstances. I do not buy our ESPN ranking. Seems out of line but maybe that's just me. The State coaches did an admirable job also as they were in a very difficult position. Dabo and Jimbo obviously knocked them out of the park. Also, Frank Beamer's son really helped VT have their best class in years.

Not defending Clemson here but if you say they had should have been 13-0 last year then there have been many a time this offseason where I've thought we had our best chance ever to have been 12-0 last year. Losses to Duke, WF, Ga Tech and Louisville with the talent superiority we had over at least 3 of them are head slappers.

One of the best quotes on here, Unc lost to Duke and Wake teams that Dabo and Jimbo demolished and Ga Tech had their worst team in years and they hung 60 something on you. Lakelover gets it time for others to understand Unc sch. should have been good for 10 to 11 wins.
